To boost literacy within girl child, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Wednesday invited applications for the Single Girl Child scholarship for Class 12 students. The last date for submitting applications is December 10.
The board has also called for the renewal of students who have been availing the scholarship for Class 10 in 2019.
CBSE, in a notification, said: “ The Central Board of Secondary Education invites online applications from eligible students who have passed class 10 exams from the CBSE affiliated schools for the following scholarship schemes: CBSE Merit Scholarship Scheme for Single Girl Child for class 12 studies and renewal of online applications of CBSE Merit Scholarship Scheme for Single GIrl Child class 10 pass awarded in 2019.”

Interested candidates are to submit online applications by December 10 by logging into CBSE’s official website, cbse.nic.in. Students are also required to submit a hard copy of the same which should be submitted by December 28. Single Girl Child scholarship is provided by the CBSE to encourage families across the county to send their girl children for education.
However, schools are closed due to COVID-19 pandemic from mid-March.
