UGC extends admission deadline

The University Grants Commission (UGC) has extended the last date for completing the admission process for the Open and Distance Learning (ODL) and online programmes for the September-October 2020 academic session. The last date for students to submit the application is December 31, 2020.

According to the official notification the last date for the admissions to ODL and online programmes for September-October academic session 2020-21 has been extended from November 30, 2020, to December 31, 2020.

The commission has asked all the Higher Educational Institutions to make a note of the same and upload the admission dates accordingly on UGC DEB web portal by January 15, 2021. The Higher Education Institutions must ensure compliance to the UGC (Open and Distance Learning Programmes and Online programmes)  Regulations, 2020, UGC notification on Specification of Degree, 2014 and other relevant regulations or notifications of the UGC or the Regulatory Authorities for all the programmes to be offered in the Online mode.

Based on the representations received from the Higher Educational Institutions the UGC had extended the last date for the compilation of the admission process for the 2020-21 academic year from October 31, 2020, to November 30, 2020.
