EdTech start up ImaginXP raises $1.5 M as Series A funding

ImaginXP, an ed tech startup, raised $ 1.5 million as part of a fundraiser.

ImaginXP’s Pune tour was led by startup incubators and Venture Catalysts accelerators, according to a statement. The other participants are Samyakth Capital, Krish Kupathil and Shashank Deshpande.

ImaginXP, operated by Giggle Galaxy Pvt Ltd, was founded in 2013 by Shashank Shwet and is managed by Shishir Kumar. The company supports universities in the provision of study programs. It also offers courses with a company-led curriculum.

The startup operates the MyCoach platform, in which more than 1,250 coaches offer tutoring and live projects for students. Some of the courses include courses in design, business, science and technology.

ImaginXP is currently in partnership with 22 universities across the country and employs more than 70 full-time professors. It also has 2,500 students taking full-time courses, of which more than 15,000 use the MyCoach platform.

According to VCCEdge, ImaginXP reported net sales of Rs 2.02 billion for the 2018-2019 fiscal year, compared to Rs 1.11 billion in the previous fiscal year.
