Madhya Pradesh schools to reopen from July onwards: CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan

The State of Madhya Pradesh will reopen its schools and colleges from August 1. The chief minister of the state, Shivraj Singh Chouhan has announced that Class 11 and 12 will reopen from July 25 and colleges will open from August 1.

The minister also said the schools will reopen with 50% capacity.

He added if there is no third wave then classes will open for smaller classes even. “Covid-19 is under control for now. We’re monitoring the situation. Preparations are being done for the third wave,” Chouhan said.

The Covid cases are constantly falling in Madhya Pradesh in the last few weeks. No cases were reported from 42 districts of the state. From peak 13000 cases during April-May, the state just recorded 23 fresh cases on Tuesday. The state-wide tally and death toll were 7,91,583 and 10,508, respectively.
