The edtech giant upGrad, witnessed strong academic success in 2022 as more than 10,000 students graduated in just one calendar year after finishing their online courses with its partners from local and foreign universities. In its MBA domain, it experienced the biggest CTC increase in 2022, which was 567% between October and December.
MBA was determined to be the most popular hiring field for recruiters during the year, followed by data science, machine learning and AI, and digital marketing, in that order, according to upGrad reports. The changes can be attributed to the increase in demand for data-skilled professionals and people with the appropriate mix of leadership abilities and business savvy.
“The company zeroes in on extensive domain research and market analysis before its curriculum is designed in sync with the industry leaders and academic experts, and added: “We meticulously assess the hiring trends and then accordingly prepare projects which could empower learners with accurate hands-on training. It has been one of our biggest strengths”, said Phalgun Kompalli, upGrad co-founder.
He further added, “Our mentors closely observe learners throughout their module and monitor their learning progress. They nudge them at frequent intervals to ensure learners complete their assignments and exams on time. The company’s focus has remained on improving career outcomes and continuous growth helps us with adequate adrenaline to work harder.”
According to the research, Bengaluru, Delhi, and Mumbai were the top three cities for employment, followed by Hyderabad, Pune, and Chennai.
