The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research (MOHESR) in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has announced significant enhancements to its Unified Registration System for higher education institutions and scholarship programs. This initiative aims to streamline the application process and expand opportunities for students pursuing higher education both domestically and abroad.
Expansion of Higher Education Institutions
The MOHESR has increased the number of participating higher education institutions to a total of 36. This expansion includes a diverse range of universities and colleges, offering students a broader selection of academic programs across various disciplines. The inclusion of these institutions is part of the ministry’s commitment to providing quality education and fostering academic excellence within the UAE.
Enhanced Scholarship Programs
In conjunction with the expansion of higher education institutions, the MOHESR has also enhanced its scholarship programs. These scholarships are designed to support UAE nationals in pursuing higher education both within the country and internationally. The programs cover a wide array of academic fields, ensuring that students have access to financial assistance that aligns with their chosen career paths.
Application Process and Deadlines
The application process for the upcoming academic year has been streamlined to ensure efficiency and accessibility. For the first semester of the academic year 2025-2026, applications are open from November 5, 2024, to April 30, 2025. Prospective students are encouraged to review the specific requirements and deadlines for their desired programs to ensure timely and complete submissions.
