The Malaysian Higher Education Ministry has reactivated a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Iran to enhance education cooperation.
Both Malaysia and Iran has agreed that there are several areas of cooperation Malaysia and Iran could pursue. The agreement is expected to bring progress in the education sector especially in higher education as both in Malaysia and Iran the system is suitable. There are about 4,000 Iranian students enrolled with several universities in Malaysia. Most of them are doing courses in Science and Technology, Medical Science and Information Communication Technology (ICT).
