
Karnataka has reopened schools for Classes 6 to 8 today. The schools have reopened schools in those states where the positivity rate is below 2 percent.
Primary and Secondary Education Minister BC Nagesh said, “”The department had an intention of reopening schools for some time now and teachers were also ready for it, but keeping in mind the health of the students along with education and concerns of the parents, we discussed with the technical advisory committee and after taking the opinion of expert paediatricians, we are reopening schools for classes 6,7 and 8.”
The government and other district administration is working together to maintain safe conduct and maintain all covid protocols.

It is compulsory for all students to submit consent of parents to attend offline classes. There is also provision for online classes.
The classes for 6-8 will be held on alternate days with 50 percent attendance. The classes for 9-12 have already reopened since August 23.
