Kerala Engineering Architecture Medical (KEAM) results have been announced by the Office of the Controller of Examinations (CEE) Kerala. The scorecard and the results are available on the official website of CEE i.e. cee.kerala.gov.in.

The entrance examination was conducted to take admission in various professional degree courses on August 5.

Assam Schools to reopen for Class 10 from next week

Schools in Assam are expected to reopen from next week. The cabinet has decided to reopen regular classes for 10th standards from September 20.

This was confirmed by Assam’s Education Minister Dr Ranoj Pegu on Thursday.

The state government will soon release an SOP that will mandate the way the schools need to operate in the classrooms. All schools will have to follow COVID protocols strictly.

The schools will have to divide the students so that proper social distancing is maintained. The classrooms will have to be sanitized, cleaned and maintain all necessary hygiene.

The state government will review the situation after ten days and further decisions will be taken in the continuity of offline classes. If everything seems fine then the other classes are likely to start offline classes.

The Board of Secondary Education Assam (SEBA) has already resumed classes for 12th standard from September 1 onwards.

The schools need to introduce and focus on providing vaccination to students, staff, non-staff and all teachers soon.

IGNOU Launches MBA programme approved by AICTE

Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has launched a Master of Business Administration Programme recently. It has been approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE)

The School of Management Studies (SOMS) offers MBA specialization in five different segments such as Human Resource Management, Financial Management, Marketing Management, Operations Management and Services Management.

The MBA programme has been restricted to meet all industry standards.

Candidates who have completed their bachelor degree with at least 50 percent marks can apply to take admission in the programme. However, 45 percent marks is required for reserved category. They are also not required to appear in entrance examinations.

“The programme is meticulously designed by renowned academicians and industry experts. It has got contemporary curriculum and the latest course material,” the university said.
Students have to complete 28 courses and 116 credits in four semesters. The course is offered pan India and in selected foreign countries. The duration of course is two years and maximum years.

KCET Result 2021 likely to be announced by September 20

The Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) 2021 is likely to be announced by September 20. The result will be available on the official website kea.kar.nic.in.

The result date has been confirmed by the Karnataka Higher Education Minister Dr CN Ashwath Narayan. The students can download the result from the official website.

How to download KCET Results 2021:

  • Visit the website kea.kar.nic.in or cetonline.karnataka.gov.in.
  • Click on the UGCET 2021 result link
  • Login with essential details
  • Enter roll number and other details
  • Submit and download scorecard.
  • Take a printout.

KCET 2021 examination was held on August 28 and 29, 2021. The candidates have raised objections on the answer key that have been released recently. The candidates clearing KCET 2021 will be eligible for the counselling session and seat allotment process.

CBSE asks schools to submit list of candidates appearing for board exam 2022

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has requested schools to submit the list of candidates (LOC) who will appear in the CBSE Board Exam 2022.

The CBSE said that the timely data of students is important to plan things accordingly. The schools should set a timeline for providing correct information for students. The schools can submit the information through e-Pariksha portal at cbse.gov.in.

Term 1 board exams will be conducted in November-December 2021. The last date to submit LOC without any late fee is September 30 and with late fee is October 1. The fee structure is Rs 1,500 per student for 5 subjects in Indian schools and Rs 10,000 for foreign schools. In addition, the LOC can be submitted with a late fee of Rs 2,000 up to October 9.

Once the students have submitted the LOC, no changes can be made. Only transfer cases will be considered by the board.

Edtech company Tinkerly raises Rs 6.5 Cr led by investors

Tinkerly, an edtech startup, has raised Rs 6.5 crore led by Navneet Tech Ventures. It is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Navneet Education Limited (NEL), an Indian publication and content provider firm.

The funding has been invested by other existing investors such as SucSEED Angel Network, Keiretsu Forum, Divyashish Jindal (Head of Academics at Doubtnut), Chand Das (Former CEO of ITC Education), Saurabh Aggarwal (Co-founder Fitso, Acquired by Zomato), Marwari Catalysts, and others.

According to a new portal focused on startups, the company has raised Rs 10 crore in total from the investors. Skwerup Capital Partners has been an advisor on this transaction.

The edtech firm is planning to use this fund to increase consumer awareness, product development and expand geographies and establish itself as a strong global brand.

Tinkerly’s co-founder and CEO Sharad Bansal told the news portal: “The fresh capital will multiply our efforts to rapidly grow our online user base and invest in technology. Currently, the platform has 50,000 plus online learners and reaches more than 6,000 schools and 100 plus learning centres.

Registration date for CAT 2021 extended till September 22

The last date for registration to the Common Admission Test (CAT 2021) has been extended to September 22 till 5 pm. The candidates can visit the official website iimcat.ac.in.

The CAT 2021 exam will be conducted by the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Ahmedabad. The expected date of the exam is on November 28, 2021.

The CAT 2021 exam will be held in 158 cities all across the country. In fact, the students can get the admit card downloaded from the official website. It is expected by October 27. However, the CAT results will be declared by the second week of January 2022.

The CAT 2021 fee can be paid online during submission of the application form. The general category fee is Rs 2200 and the reserved category fee is Rs 1,100.

Gujarat cancels notification to make primary teachers work for 8 hours

Gujarat Government has cancelled the notification that was mandating primary teachers to work for 8 hours a day.

Under the Right to Education (RTE) Act 2009, the government (Director of Primary Education) has taken the decision. The decision to cancel the notification was taken in the cabinet meeting recently.

“During the cabinet meeting, the state government has decided to cancel the notification issued by the Director of Primary Education. Teachers can continue to work for that much time which is needed to finish their work satisfactorily,” state Education Minister Bhupendrasinh Chudasama in Gandhinagar after attending the cabinet meeting.

If the order to work 8 hours a day be implemented then the government teachers had to work 2 hours extra everyday. The unions representing teachers had opposed the notification of the government on the extra working hours and requested the government to withdraw it.

Schools in Madhya Pradesh to reopen from September 20

Madhya Pradesh School Education Department has declared to reopen schools from September 20. The schools will reopen with 50 per cent capacity from Classes 1 to 5, whereas for classes 8 to 12 will reopen with 100 percent capacity.

However, the students are allowed to attend classes only after parents provide permission. The schools need to follow all Covid protocol and ensure that Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are followed by the schools.

The official order issued by the government also clearly stated that attendance for offline classes is not mandatory. There will be online classes with the offline classes parallely. Online classes will continue along with offline classes.

Vaccination of all students, teachers and staff is mandatory. Schools will be penalised if they will violate covid protocols.

Eupheus Learning, an Edtech company, has raised $10 million in Series C funding from Lightrock India.

The company will use this fund for scaling up business and focus on growth and acquisitions. Eupheus aims to focus on product portfolio and expand reach to other geographical areas.

“With the evolution of online teaching and the impact of Covid-19 on the education sector, we are assisting schools to adopt a hybrid form of teaching and learning experience by providing 21st-century learning solutions to students,” said Sarvesh Shrivastava, co-founder and managing director, Eupheus Learning.

Eupheus Learning works with 5,500 plus schools in India and Middleeast. There has been an increased demand from schools for new-age solutions and teaching. Things have changed after the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 has been implemented in India. The need for improved adoption of new tools and technology have increased a lot.

It was founded by Sarvesh Shrivastava, Ved Prakash Khatri, and Amit Kapoor in June 2017, Eupheus Learning reaches out to 4 million children.

“The unprecedented disruption of a classroom due to pandemic-driven digitalization presents a rare opportunity for schools to adopt hybrid learning models and improve learning outcomes for students,” said Divya Venkatavaraghavan from Lightrock.

Earlier this year, Eupheus raised $4.1 million in Series B funding led by Kuwait-based United Education Company (UEC) and Al Rayan Holding Company.
