The Maharashtra Public Service Commission, MPSC Exam 2021, was postponed due to the increasing number of COVID 19 cases in the state. The MPSC 2021 review is scheduled to take place before April 11, 2021. However, the government has decided to postpone the review because the state sees nearly 60,000 COVID 19 cases every 24 hours.
Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray called a meeting today to make a concrete decision on the implementation of the MPSC review in 2021. The meeting was conducted via video conference between the Chief Minister, the Senior Deputy Minister, the Minister of Revenue and other officials. With student safety in mind, the state government has decided to postpone the MPSC exam until 2021. The official has not yet announced the revised date of the exam.
The Maharashtra government has imposed severe restrictions across the state until April 30, 2021. Thereafter, there is a strict lockdown on Saturdays and Sundays. Therefore, with the increase in the number of cases and the worsening of the situation, it was almost impossible to take the MPSC 2021 exam on the specified date and time. Meanwhile, according to the report, the Maharashtra HSC, SSC 2021 exams will be conducted according to schedule. The Maharashtra Department of Education provided clarification on this matter. The Maharashtra HSC and SSC 2021 exams will run from April 23 to the end of May 2021, depending on the schedule.
