To bring relief to students, the Maharashtra state government announced that the 2021 Maharashtra SSC exam for 10th class and the 2021 Maharashtra HSC exam for 12th class have been postponed in light of the pandemic COVID-19.
According to media reports, Education Minister Varsha Gaikwad announced i.e. From April 12 to Monday, the decision to postpone the 2021 Maharashtra HSC and SSC exams will be officially announced. The decision was made in consultation with the Prime Minister of Maharashtra, Uddhav Thackeray.

School Education Minister Varsha Gaikwad took to Twitter to officially announce that the 10th and 12th exams in Maharashtra in 2021 have been postponed amid the current pandemic and the student safety situation. In a video post posted on the social media platform, Gaikwad said that the HSC grade 12 exams will take place in May, while the SSC grade 10 exams will take place in June 2021. He added that the dates of the revised Maharashtra HSC exams, SSC 2021, will be announced accordingly. The Maharashtra Council will reportedly review the entrance exam schedule before releasing the revised 10th and 12th grade exam fact sheet.
As explained above, the decision to postpone the MSBSHSE SSC and HSC exam until 2021 was announced by the Minister of Education on Twitter. In the video message, Gaikwad noted that Covid-19 cases have been on the rise in recent days. There has been stress in preparing for exams and the pandemic affects the health of first responders. Stakeholder safety is our top priority and therefore we decided to postpone the jury examinations. The SSC exam is scheduled to take place in June and the HSC exams may be postponed until the end of May so as not to affect the student’s higher education. “
