Rajasthan to conduct exams for class 3 to 5 written exam of 40 % marks

The Rajasthan state government has decided to organize 40% of the annual exams for students class 3-to 5, while the remaining 60% are given to all public and private students by their respective schools. The decision on exams was made by the Rajasthan Ministry of Education, taking into account the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Department of Education had previously established internal and external grades for students this year, giving students in grades 6-8, 50 marks as internal grades, while the remaining 50% were awarded through ‘organized review. Depending on the department, students in grades 3-8 write a workbook, based on which students take the tests.

Students in levels 1 and 2 receive an activity booklet that students must complete with the help of teachers and parents. Students in both classes are also promoted using workbooks.

The quiz template has also been changed for students, where 20 percent is optional. Speaking to the media, Secondary Education Director Saurabh Swamy said the changes were only made for this academic session. The old system will be implemented again in the new session after the pandemic is over. The testing schedule for grades 9-12 remains the same with 20% internal grades and 80% written test scores.

The Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education has extended the deadline for applying for the 2021 RBSE Board exam. The deadline for student enrollment is January 18, 2021 for 10th and 12th grade applicants who will take the RBSE exams board.  Applications should be submitted online only through the link available on the official council website.

Finally, the National Examination Board (NBE) has officially announced the exam dates for the NEET PG 2021 exam. The national cumulative eligibility test for graduate school, commonly known as NEET PG, is scheduled for April 18 2021 as a computerized test mode, according to circular.

Applicants considering taking the PG Admission Medical Exam can obtain full details through an official circular available on the official website at natboard.edu.in.

In addition to specifying the exam dates for the NEET PG 2021 exam, the examining authority has also communicated important admission criteria for applicants planning to take the exam. The circular mentions that all students who complete their internship no later than June 30, 2021 can apply for “ONLY” NEET PG 2021 if the admission criteria set out in the newsletter are met. Therefore, aspiring physicians wishing to sit for the PG entrance examination are advised to complete their internship before or before the above-mentioned date.

With the newsletter and the exam date circular already published, it is expected that the application process and other details about the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Postgraduate will begin soon. Additionally, to resolve any applicants’ confusion, concerns, or questions, the NBE has established a hotline number that applicants can contact to resolve them.

The exams are delayed due to the Coronavirus epidemic across the country.

Delhi govt to restructure SCERT and DIET programmes

Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia said that the government is taking important steps to restructure the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) and District Institute of Education and Training (DIET).

“We need to prepare teachers who can instill a curious habit in our children and train them to ask questions in class. Children must have the courage to challenge the truth and fill in the gaps they have learned so far.

“Only teachers can change our society. So it is important to instill the right spirit in our teachers, and we can only do that through teacher training,” Sisodia said of a restructuring programme at SCERT and DIET.

“The government is taking important steps to restructure SCERT and DIET. The educational progress of a country depends only on the effort of its teachers. This is the case of countries praised for their quality educational systems, and this is because these countries are different focused on the development and training of their teachers ”, he added.

Sisodia said the Delhi government has focused on teacher training in recent years, including increasing jobs and salaries at SCERT.

“We have increased jobs and salaries at SCERT to instill a sense of respect for the talent that comes into the system. He has received UGC compensation, ”he said.

He said that Delhi is the only state in this country where SCERT has received this scale and this honor. Also included is SCERT’s increase from 509 positions to 1,295 positions and determination of compensation and designation under NCERT, he added.

The third phase of Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) 3.0 will begin on January 15 in 600 districts of India. In the third phase, the Ministry of Skills Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) plans to train 8 Lakh candidates. MSDE says the focus will now be on New Age and COVID skills.

The ministry claims to have “updated the new version of the system to respond to current political doctrine and strengthen the skills ecosystem affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.”

The program operates at a cost of Rs 948.90. The 729 Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Kendras (PMKKs), qualified non-PMKK training centers and more than 200 ITI under Skill India will introduce PMKVY 3.0 training.

The Skill India mission was launched in 2015 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, under which the flagship PMKVY operates.

PMVYK 3.0 is launched by the Minister of Skills Development and Entrepreneurship, Dr. Mahendranath Pandey, in the presence of the Minister of State Raj Kumar Singh. The event is also raised by ministers and members of parliament.

The launch will help youth across the country to develop skills.

28 new private universities and 51 state colleges to be open in UP

Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Dinesh Sharma said the state has seen “massive changes” in education over the past four years, opening new colleges and universities and regulating university sessions.

The deputy CM said around 28 new private universities and 51 state colleges coming across the state.

He said the digital library which is in the state has one lakh e-content in 134 subjects in Hindi and English languages. Its success can be gauged from the fact that the National Digital Library of India of IIT Kharagpur has sent a proposal of partnership to the state government. Agreement will be made soon.

Sharma, who also owns the education portfolio, said “In the last four years the field of education has changed dramatically. For the first time, academic sessions have been regulated by universities and colleges. We will announce the academic calendar and take exams in July,” he stated.

The deputy chief minister said new universities were being established in the state and letters of intent had been sent to 30 private universities.

“A dozen universities have taken proposals in various committees. The government will approve them soon,” he said.

To boost the research, Sharma said the government ordered the establishment of the Prof Rajendra Singh Rajju Bhaiyya Institute of Physical Science of Study and Research Centre, Mahayogi Guru Gorakhnath Shodh Peeth and develop Siddhartha Vishwavidyalaya Kapilvastu as International Buddhist Centre and Centre for Excellence in Hinduism, Buddhism and Jainism.

UGC asks Universities to help in COVID -19 vaccine rollout

The Union Health Department has written to the University Grants Commission (UGC) asking universities to work together on mass immunization against the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The ministry said that universities and institutions should help spread information about the introduction of the COVID-19 vaccine among the population.

The center also announced that the vaccination campaign would begin on January 16, 2021 and would immunize more than 30 million frontline and healthcare workers.

The Drug Controller General of India (DCGI) had approved two Indian manufacturers on January 3, 2021, namely Covidshield, developed by AstraZeneca in the UK and the University of Oxford, manufactured by the Serum Institute of India and Covaxin, manufactured by Bharat Biotech.

In the letter from UGC Secretary Rajnish Jain, it was stated that a smooth and successful implementation of the immunization program is needed to proactively support all stakeholders, including universities and colleges. He also asked for a personal intervention for the successful implementation of the vaccination programme.

Amazon India launches “Amazon Academy” to help students for JEE Exam

To prepare students for the JEE 2021 exam, Amazon India has launched “Amazon Academy”. This academy helps students prepare for access to engineering schools. The beta version of the academy would be available for free on the Internet and in the Google Play Store.

In a statement, Amazon India said that the online preparation offering will provide students with the in-depth knowledge and practice routines required for JEE through organized study materials, live lectures and comprehensive math assessments, physics and chemistry.

The statement reads: “Amazon Academy provides students with a variety of JEE preparation resources to get started, including specially designed mock tests by industry experts, over 15,000 carefully curated questions with hints and solutions detailed practices, step by step. “

The Academy will also conduct All India Live Mock Testing (AIMT) at regular intervals. Through these mock tests, students will understand the nuances of the JEE exam.

Gujarat govt announces recruitment to over 6,600 posts in schools, colleges

The Gujarat government announced the hiring of a total of 6,616 new jobs in special schools and institutions of higher education across the country.

State Education Minister Bhupendrasinh Chudasama gave details of the announcement in a statement, saying 927 assistant professors will be recruited for grants through a centralized statewide recruitment process at non-public universities. These 927 assistant teachers are hired for 44 different subjects.

“The hiring was announced to advance careers through employment opportunities in higher and secondary education in the state and to maximize employment opportunities in the education sector,” said Chudasama.

In addition, the state government will hire a total of 5,700 assistant teachers in secondary and non-state secondary schools. As a result, 3,382 assistant teachers will be recruited in upper secondary and 2,307 in secondary schools.

Chudasama went into detail about the hiring of 3,382 assistant teachers in secondary schools, saying that it is 624 for English, 446 for accounting and business, 334 for sociology, 276 for economics, 254 for Gujarati and other subjects.

Also, 2,307 assistant teachers are being recruited in secondary schools, including 1,037 in mathematics and science, 442 in English, 289 in social studies, 234 in Gujarati and other subjects.

Byju’s to acquire Aakash Educational Services for $1 billion

Byju’s has apparently signed a deal to acquire Aakash Educational Services Ltd, backed by Blackstone, for $ 1 billion. India’s largest online education company, Byju’s, worth $ 12 billion, was eager to grow as demand for online courses peaked during the pandemic.

This deal will be one of the largest edtech acquisitions in the world. The Aakash Institute, with more than 200 physical centers across the country, teaches students access to India’s elite medical and engineering colleges. These institutes have more than 2,50,000 students.

Post-pandemic learning centers, offline or physical, including schools and training institutes, have been successful while online courses have flourished.

India has around 250 million students from kindergarten to grade 12. The app offers math and science lessons through video animations and games.

According to Byju, more than 70 million users from more than 1,700 cities across the country signed up last September when a fundraiser was announced. More than 4.5 million of them are paying users. In the current fiscal year, ending March 2021, sales are expected to double to $ 1 billion.

Delhi to reopen schools from Jan 18 for class 10 and 12 students

After nearly ten months of closure, the Delhi government on Wednesday allowed the government and government-sponsored schools in the state capital to reopen for class 10 and 12 starting on January 18 to prepare and take lessons practical work in front of the board.
