MP Board refutes any new date sheet for 10th and 12th Board Exam

In a bid to quash rumours, MP Board has asked students not to believe on any news about date sheet being released for pending papers of MP Board 10th and 12th Board Exam 2020.

The board was expected to release the MP Board Exam 2020 timetable for the pending papers, which have been postponed due to the lockdown.

According to media reports, principal secretary, school education department, Rashmi Shama has said that the issue of MPBSE Revised Date sheet 2020 is under discussion with CBSE, MPBSE officials and it will be released soon.

Students and parents have raised concerns about rumours about release of revised exam timetable for MP Board 10th and 12th Exam 2020 have raised concerned.

Many students infact have reached out to the board to confirm if the revised exam date sheet has been released or not. Meanwhile, the board refuted all such news.

In the absence of any official notification or clarification from board, students have fallen prey for fake notices and misinformation about date sheet being announced.

In response, MPBSE has also advised students to contact the helpline numbers issued earlier to get verified and authentic information about MP Board Exam 2020.

CFAI shifts to online exam mode from 2021

The Chartered Financial Analyst Institute (CFAI) has announced that the CFA Level 1 exam will be transitioned to Computer-Based testing. The exam will be conducted in new format from the year 2021.

As per the institute the transition to online exams is an essential next step for exam delivery to ensure the long-term competitiveness, relevancy, and sustainability.

CBT will provide greater exam scheduling flexibility and faster results for candidates appearing for the exam.

According to a notification, the exam will be conducted 4 times a year – February, May, August, and November. The CFA Institute plans to conduct the exam at more locations than the current ones.The first CBT exam will be conducted in February 2021. Candidates will be given a window of 7 days to appear for each exam

The length of the exam will depend upon the exam city chosen by the candidate. The total number of questions will be reduced to 180 in the CBT mode.

At present, CFA has only decided to transition only the CFA Level 1 exam and no decision has been made in this regard for CFA Level 2 and 3.

With the second phase of COVID-19 lockdown, the Maharashtra Board SSC and HSC results 2020 is delayed yet again.

The COVID-19 lockdown has been extended until 3rd May 2020 and this further delays the assessment of Maharashtra Class 10 and 12 Board exam papers.

The Maharashtra Education Department has said that there are no means by which teachers can be sent for evaluation work and as such the assessment of Maharashtra Board SSC and HSC exam papers can be resumed only after the lockdown is lifted.

The Maharashtra Education Department had then issued a circular allowing the teachers to carry the Class 10 and 12 Board exam papers home for evaluation process to continue.

However, with no transportation in place, none of the teachers could actually carry the Maharashtra SSC and HSC exam papers home. The Education Department then announced the evaluation work would be resumed on 14th April after the lockdown ended.

However, with the extension of the lockdown, the Maharashtra Board Class 10 and 12 evaluation work is further stalled. Reportedly, over 17 lakh students have appeared for the Maharashtra Board SSC exams and over 13 lakh students appeared for the Maharashtra Board HSC exams this year.

NEET-UG 2020 admit cards to be released after May 3

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has recently extended the application correction dates till May 3. The agency had earlier stated that the admit cards for NEET-UG 2020 will be released on April 15, 2020, however, the lockdown has been extended till May 3.

According to a notice, the NEET UG aspirants can change their examination centres through the application correction window on the official website till May 3, 2020.

The candidates are advised to visit the official website ntaneet.ac.in before 11:50 PM on May 3.

The candidates can expect their admit cards 15 days prior to the exam dates if previous trends are to be trusted.

The NTA had earlier agreed upon the fact that the heath of the students of India was far more important than the academic calendars.

The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare had earlier released the guidelines to avoid social gatherings which included various competitive exams as well.

The NTA had announced that the JEE Main and NEET-UG would be conducted by May end which as per the sources are unlikely to be changed.

GMAT exams to be conducted online

In the view of lockdown, Graduate Management Academic Council (GMAC) will be allowing candidates to appear online for the GMAT examination. The agency has already begun the registration process and the online exam will start from April 20th, 2020.

Apart from the online exam facility, candidates can take the exam five times in a year and the best score will be considered for admissions purpose.

The exam pattern for GMAT has also undergone a few changes for the online version in which there will be only four sections and the writing section has been omitted.

The facility to give the exam from home will be available until June 15th after which the agency will assess the COVID-19 situation and decision will be taken accordingly.

Once the facility for online exam ends, the GMAT pattern will be switched to the older version and writing assignment will also be assessed, the report adds.

BSEB to declare results for 10th class, check date

Amid the extension of lockdown, the BSEB 10th result declaration will be delayed further. The Board is expected to begin the evaluation of answer books after May 3, 2020.

The BSEB 10th results are expected to be released on the official portal of the Board at biharboardonline.bihar.gov.in.

The Board had earlier released the BSEB result for Class 12 examination before the announcement of lockdown.

Bihar Board had earlier postponed the evaluation process of the answer sheets till April 14 when the lockdown was announced in the first place.

As of March 28 it had been put on hold and will begin after the nationwide lockdown due to COVID-19 outbreak is called off.

According to officials, the chances for releasing the Bihar 10th results soon is very unlikely due to the current situation.

Meanwhile, in the intermediate exam 80.44% students have passed. A total of 34 students have been placed in the top 5 spots in all the three streams-Arts, Science and Commerce.

The Board concluded the exam for Class 12 students on February 13 and for Class 10 students on February 24.

UPSC to announce new dates for personality test soon

A special meeting of the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) held to review the situation arising out of COVID-19 pandemic.

A decision on dates for the remaining Civil Services-2019 Personality Tests will be taken after May, 3, 2020. However, dates for the Civil Services-2020 (Prelim), Engineering Services (Main) and the Geologist Services (Main) Examinations had already been announced.

Any rescheduling in these examinations, will be notified on the official site-UPSC upsc.gov.in.

Deferment notices have already been posted for the Combined Medical Services Examination, the Indian Economic Service and the Indian Statistical Service Examination 2020.

The National Defence Academy (NDA-I) Examination has already been postponed till further intimation. A decision on the NDA II Examination will be posted on June 10, 2020, the scheduled date for its notification.

The Commission reviewed the harm caused to the economy by the corona pandemic. Recognizing the need to conserve financial resources at the national level, the Chairman and Members of the Union Public Service Commission have decided to voluntarily forego 30% of the basic pay received by them from the Commission for a period of one year.

DU prepares to conduct semester exam online

Amid lockdown announced in the country, the University of Delhi is preparing to conduct exams online.

As the lockdown has been extended till May 3, the DU computer centre has been asked to come up with a platform to conduct the semester examinations in online mode.

According to a media report, the DUCC official was quoted saying, “We have received instructions from the top brass and have started to explore options on this. We are seeing if we need to bring up a smartphone application for it or the website can work.”

Though this has been in the planning phase, however, the final decision in this regard will be taken after the committee formed by the UGC and MHRD.

The report further quoted Vinay Gupta, Dean of DU’s Examination Centre, saying, “We see online examinations as the only way to conduct examinations, especially in times when students should not leave their houses. But the final decision can only be taken after committees report.”

The campaign aims to overcome problems of online education along with the promoting the digital education platform.

The HRD Ministry has received more than 3700 suggestions for the ‘Bharat Padhe Online’ campaign within just days of its launch via twitter and email.

HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal while launching the Bharat Padhe Online campaign added that the campaign will allow all the best minds in the country to share their suggestions and solutions directly with the Education Ministry.

HRD Ministry also stated that the people have been appreciating the initiative thanking the Ministry for promoting the online education system in the country.

According to the ministry, the campaign has been promoted on social media in such a way that it was trending in the top 10 on twitter today.

IGNOU starts admission for BBA (Service Management), check on ignou.mkcl.org

The Indira Gandhi National Open University has commenced the applications for the admissions to the work-based BBA programme July 2020 session.

Students interested to apply for the Bachelor of Business Administration (Services Management) program can visit the official website ignou.mkcl.org to apply.

According to the official notification, Candidates are required to submit the online application forms by June 10, 2020. Meanwhile, the entrance examinations for the BBA programmes will be conducted on June 14, 2020.

Candidates are required to complete the application forms by registering themselves through the registration link. After completing the registration candidates can complete the application form and submit the entrance examination fee.

Students must also note that practice examinations in order for students to prepare for the exams are also available.

After the examination is completed the list of the candidates who have been shortlisted will be released.

The shortlisted students will now have to fill the online preference form for the workplace and personal interview will be conducted for the shortlisted students.

The admission will be completed after the students fill and submit the University Admission Form and upload the documents for verification of the candidates’ eligibility.
