Elets Technomedia and digitalLEARNING Magazine in association with the Department of Collegiate & Technical Education, Government of Telangana, and Telangana State Council of Higher Education is organising the 16th Edition of World Education Summit, India’s biggest event on Innovation in Education, in Hyderabad on February 21-22, 2020.

The event will graced by P Sabitha Indra Reddy, Minister of Education, Government of Telangana as the Chief Guest; Prof T Papi Reddy, Chairman, Telangana State Council of Higher Education, Government of Telangana, and Temjen Imna Along, Minister of Higher and Technical Education, Government of Nagaland, as Guests of Honour; and Navin Mittal, Commissioner, Department of Collegiate & Technical Education, Government of Telangana, as the Programme Chair.

The two day summit will be held in two parallel tracks – ‘Higher Education’ and ‘School Education’, starting on February 21, 2020, and ending on February 22, 2020.

Day-1 of the School Education track will begin with a pre-inaugural session on ‘Importance of Physical & Mental Wellbeing of Students during Examinations,’ followed by inauguration of Expo, two technology and corporate perspective sessions and five panel discussions.

The day will witness participation from apex leaders in the School Education domain including Chandrashekhar DP, CEO, Jain Group of Schools, Bengaluru; Kavitha Jain, CEO, MDN Edify Education, Telangana; Harish Sanduja, Director Schools, Seth Anandram Jaipuria Group of Schools; Skand Bali, Principal, The Hyderabad Public School Begumpet, Hyderabad; Pritam Kumar Agrawal, Founder & Director, Hello Kids Education, Bengaluru; and Sirish Turlapati, Chairman & Managing Director, Iris Florets – The Happy Play School, Hyderabad; and  Helen Mary C, Vice Principal, Samashti International School, Hyderabad, among many other top leaders in the School Education space.

EFLU entrance examination admit card 2020 released

The English and Foreign Languages University (EFLU) has announced the release of the admit card for the entrance examination 2020 to be held for Postgraduate, Teacher Education courses, Post Graduate Diploma in Translation, and Research Porgrammes courses.

The admit card was released on the official website of the University i.e. efluniversity.ac.in. Students can download and check the hall ticket from the above-mentioned website.

The entrance examination for the mentioned courses will be held on February 29 and March 1, 2020, across various centers in the country.

Rajasthan University: UG examination admit card 2020 released

Rajasthan University has announced that it has released the UG examinations admit card 2020 on its official website.

The University of Rajasthan has released the admit cards for the BA Additional, BA Part 1, Part 2, and Part 3 examination. Those who are appearing for the above-mentioned examination can check and download their respective admit cards from the university official website.

As per the notification, the UG examination will be held on March 2, 2020, onwards. The candidates have to download the admit card from univraj.org.

CBSE Board Examination 2020: Important notification for private candidates

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), has notified all the Centre Superintendents to let the private candidates appear in the respective exams, even if their admit card for the examination has not been duly signed by the Principal.

However, only those private candidates will be allowed for the examination whose admit card will carry the signature of their parent and student on the same provided for the signature of the principal.

The CBSE said that it is being done to avoid undue hardship to the private candidates who will be appearing for Class 10 and 12 Board examination.

“In order to avoid undue hardship to private candidates who are going to appear in Class X & XII Examinations-2020, all the Centre Superintendents of the Examination Centres, are instructed to allow private candidates to appear in the respective examination(s), even if their admit card has not been signed by the Principal,” said Dr Sanyam Bhardwaj, Controller of Examinations, as per the reports.

“However, parent & candidate must have signed on Admit Card in the space provided for the same,” he added.

The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) is expected to announce the December Term End Exam (TEE) Result 2019 today, as per the reports.

Candidates can check their results by visiting the official website i.e. ignou.ac.in.

IGNOU had announced the ‘Early Declaration’ Result for December TEE Examination 2019 on January 31, 2020.

In 2019, the December Term End Exam Result was announced within a week by IGNOU after the declaration of the Early Declaration Result.

SSC CGL admit card to be released on this date

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) CGL admit card will be released soon as the examination is in just 15 days.

The hall ticket will be released for all the students who have applied for the Combined Graduate Level (CGL).

The admit card will be released on the official website i.e. ssc.nic.in. Students can download the same by entering their roll number.

The examination will be held from March 2, 2020 to March 11, 2020.

BSE Odisha Class 10th board examination begins today

The Board of Secondary Examination (BSE), Odisha has commenced it’s class 10th Odisha Board Examination 2020 from today onwards.

The board has this year made special arrangements to prevent the examination question paper from being leaked or from going viral.

As per the official notification, the class 10th board examination will end on March 2, 2020. A total of 5,60,891 students will be appearing for the examination. It will be held in 2,888 centers across the state.

NEET PG 2020 All India Merit List announced

The all India merit list of NEET PG 2020 has been released by the National Board of Examination (NBE).

1,67,102 candidates had registered for NEET PG 2020 examination and 1,60,888 candidates in 2020 had appeared for the exam. The total number of candidates who have qualified the examination 89,549.

The examination was carried out for 1200 marks.

6320 candidates clear UPPSC’s Prelims Exams

A total of 6320 candidates qualified for the main exam out of 3, 18, 147 candidates who had appeared for the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission’s (UPPSC’s) Provincial Civil Services (PCS), Assistant Conservator of Forest (ACF), Range Forest Officer (RFO) prelims exams held on December 15, 2019. UPPSC has declared the results on its official website at uppsc.up.nic.in. The result will be available up to March 16, 2020.

The main exam will be conducted from February 23 to March 6, 2020, in two shifts: 9:30 am to 12:30 pm and 2 pm to 5 pm.

The prelims exam for 364 posts – 309 posts of PCS, 2 of ACF and 53 of RFO – was conducted at 1166 centres spread across 19 cities. The answer key was released on December 18.

The annual High School Certificate (HSC) Class 10 Odisha board examinations will be conducted by Board of Secondary Education (BSE) Odisha, starting from Wednesday, February 19, 2020.

As per reports, about six lakh students are going to appear for the HSC examinations, including streams like correspondence, state open school certificate, regular, ex-regular, and Madhyamik (Sanskrit) examinations.

All the examinations will be held between 10 am and 12:30 pm, except for mathematics. The mathematics paper will be allotted an additional 15 minutes.

Here are a few tips that can be followed for exam preparation and attempt –

  • Hall ticket – The Hall ticket has to be kept on person, otherwise the candidate will not be allowed to enter the examination hall in any case.
  • Banned items – Do not carry electronic gadgets like mobile phones or any other communication devices inside the exam hall.
  • Revision – Note down important topics on a separate sheet, and devote ample time in revising the said topics.
  • Avoid late night study – Try to get at least 7-8 hours of sleep before the exam, because your mind needs relaxation to perform well the next day.
  • Be positive – Maintaining a positive frame of mind is key to perform well in any exam. Do not stress about the topics left out, focus on what you have prepared

Organise your school/exam bag – Pack your bags a day in advance and ensure that you have kept your ID card, stationary items, and other essentials where they need to be.
