‘Aarambh’- Dell’s Initiative for enhancing use of PCs in Education

‘Aarambh’, an initiative by Dell India is launched with an aim to increase the use of PCs in education pan India. Through this initiative, Dell is keen on spreading awareness about the importance of computers among  three key audiences- students, teachers, and parents.

With this year-long project, Dell aspires to reach 1 million students, 1 lakh teachers and 2 lakh parents across 5,000 schools in 75 cities across the country. The project is founded on the understanding that exposure to interactive methods of learning, like PCs is very important in the developmental years for children.

It is being observed that PC penetration in India has stagnated at around 9-10 percent. It is the need of the hour to bring a hike in this number.  Dell’s Aarambh, aspires to represent the use of PC learning to unlock the potential for young students.

The programme shall enable both parents and teachers to actively aid in the educational development of the child while using a PC and create an encompassing ecosystem and supportive background for the child. Moreover, the project also aims to establish that parents and teachers, being the key influences in a child’s formative years, can aid their overall growth by participating in the adoption of PC technology for learning.

UGC wants all Universities to have 24X7 helpline for Admission Process

With the new academic session being round the corner, the University Grants Commission (UGC) wants all Universities to set up 24X7 helpline number to address all admission related queries.

Therefore, setting up a round the clock helpline is needed at this time.

The UGC has also instructed all universities to ensure that elements of transparency, clarity, and effectiveness of interface are infused into the system of admission, without any doubts and confusions.
