UGC all set to tackle Ragging with new Mobile App for Students

With admissions going in full swing, Universities and colleges are all prepared for new sessions to begin. At such a time, University Grants Commission (UGC) has come up with a great technique to control ragging, a mobile app which will help students register complaints in case they face any ragging problems.

For this, the HRD ministry is all set to install Wi-fi in all Central Universities.

Earlier, also students could complain on-line, but a mobile app would make it much easier and simpler. Moreover, the higher education regulator has also formed a three-member committee for making all campuses of central universities wi-fi enabled.

The committee comprises of Central University of Kashmir, VC Prof Me’raj Ud Din Mir, Central University of South Bihar, VC Prof H C S Rathore and Central University of Haryana, VC Prof R C Kuhad.
