Recently, the Laksmana College of Business, has provided quality academic courses over a decade, officially launched another academic qualification in computing called BTEC (Business and Technician Education Council). The launch took place within the college's premises and was witnessed by eminent dignatories including Directors of the LCB, Pehin Orang Kaya Ratna Setia Dato Setia Awg Hj Abd Hapidz POKL Hj Awg Abd Razak and Hj Suhaimei Hj Awg Besar, Regional Director Edexcel International (South Asia Region), Au Yong Soon Kok, Principal and Director of LCB, Ian Pirie as well as representatives from the British Council, Dave Morgan and Cecile Dasal.
BTEC is a work related qualification suitable for a wide range of students providing a practical, real-world approach to learning alongside a theoretical background and LCB has been certified and approved by Edexcel to provide BTEC Higher Nationals qualification where BTEC qualification is also accredited by Brunei Darussalam National Accreditation Council. The courses offered at the college are to be beneficial to students as the BTEC Higher Nationals are level 5 higher education qualifications that are widely recognised by universities and professional bodies.
