Srinagar to have open satellite campus by Maulana Azad

A new satellite campus in Srinagar and two women's polytechnic colleges in Jammu and Kashmir, by the Maulana Azad National Urdu University will open shortly reported officials from the latter.  University vice chancellor Professor Muhammad Mian mentioned that the varsity would offer post-graduate courses in commerce, political science, and Islamic studies.

In a recent controversy, the state government had placed the Maulana Azad National Urdu University in the list of non-recognised universities. Nearly 50% candidates who qualified the main exams for the state-level combined civil services this year have made it with Urdu as an optional subject in the main exams.
