Adding another feather in its cap, the Bahrain Bayan School has recently inaugurated its new science and technology building to promote technical education in the Kingdom.
The Bahrain Bayan School (BBS) is known for providing an exceptionally unique educational experience for pre-school to Grade 12 students. The new facility at the school, which follows a balanced approach towards academic and extracurricular programmes with stress on maintaining high standards, is expected to boost interest in science and technology among students.
His Highness Sh Mohammed bin Mubarak AlKhalifa, Deputy Prime Minister of Bahrain, provided his patronage to the inaugural ceremony and “honoured the Bahrain Bayan School by unveiling the state-of-the-art Science and Technology building,” the school said.
The inaugural ceremony reflected the huge support provided by the Council to Development of Education in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
Owing to its exemplary work in the field of education, the school has been ranked as outstanding in the Directorate of Private Schools & Kindergartens Reviews (DPS) report.
DPS is one of the directorates at the National Authority for Qualifications and Quality Assurance of Education and Training (QQA) responsible for reviewing, monitoring and reporting on students’ achievement and the quality of the teaching and learning in private schools and kindergartens according to the best international practices.
In addition to this, Bahrain Bayan School was also awarded at the annual World Education Summit Dubai-2016 by Elets Technomedia for its contribution in the field of education.
The Bahrain Bayan School runs under the esteemed guidance of Dr May Sulaiman Al-Otaibi, Chairperson of Board of Trustees and Directors. She is an active member in the community, pioneering new initiatives in the educational sector. In addition, Dr May Al-Otaibi holds the title of General Manager in two companies based in the Kingdom (Mayasem Real Estate) and (Mayasem Institute for Communication Strategy).
Dr Al-Otaibi is an esteemed member of the Human Rights Foundation and is also the founder of the Bahrain National Campaign Wihda Wahda in Cooperation with MOD in support of National cohesion.
The recent inauguration of the science and technology building is yet another positive initiative taken by Bahrain Bayan School in promotion of education in Bahrain.
The inaugural ceremony of the science and technology building at the school reflected the huge support provided by the Council to Development of Education in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The event also saw in attendance His Excellency Ali bin Saleh AlSaleh, Chairman of Shura Council; HE Dr Majed AlNuaimi, Minister of Education; HE Hisham AlJodar, Minster of Youth and Sports; Nabeel AlHamar, Advisor for Information Affairs for the King of Bahrain; HE Rasheed AlMiraj, Governor of the Central Bank of Bahrain; HE Sh Abdulla bin Rashid AlKhalifa, Governor of the Southern Governorate; and HE Mohammed AlMutawa, State Minister.
