Degree admissions in Telangana to begin tomorrow through DOST

Registrations for admission to undergraduate courses in Telangana for the academic year 2018-2019 will begin from tomorrow through Degree Online Services, Telangana (DOST) portal.

The official notification in this regard is likely to release today i.e. May 8. After the registration, the first list of seat allotment will be released on June 4, 2018 and thereafter subsequent lists will be released on June 19 and June 30. Registration for degree admissions will be held at the official website dost.cgg.gov.in.

Through DOST portal, online admissions will be hosted for six universities in the State including Osmania University, Kakatiya University, Mahatma Gandhi University, Telangana University, Palamuru University and Satavahana University.

Candidates that the admissions are for the degree courses other than Engineering, Agriculture, and Medical (Pharmacy, Veterinary etc.) streams. Candidates interested in these courses will have to apply to TS EAMCET 2018.

Regarding the registration process, “students wishing to take admission into degree courses through the Degree Online Services of Telangana (DOST) need not visit helpline centres for submitting their biometric details if their Aadhaar cards are linked to a mobile phone. Students whose Aadhaar cards are not linked to any phone will, however, have to visit one of the 74 helpline centres in the State to submit their details,” said Navin Mittal, Commissioner, Collegiate Education.
