The University Grants Commission (UGC) has asked Universities and Colleges to setup Mental Health Helplines to help students during the ongoing lockdown.

The Commission emphasised on the need to ensure that students remain calm and stress-free during this on-going public health crisis.

UGC Secretary Rajnish Jain written to all the universities and directed them to look after the wellbeing of the students. He also said that in order to be physically healthy, students also need to be mentally fit and free from any stress or anxiety. Therefore, universities and colleges must setup Mental Health Helplines where students can call to resolve their queries.
