Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan issues new admission guidelines

In the light of Corona crisis, the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan has released the revised guidelines for the Admissions to Kendriya Vidyalaya for the 2020 academic year. According to the guidelines issued by the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, 27 percent of seats will be reserved for the OBC category students.

The admission guidelines are available on the official website of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan – kvsangathan.nic.in.

The admissions for the students to classes 1 will be done through online draw of lots and the admissions to the students from classes 2 to 8 will be done based on priority. In case the number of seats is less than the number of applicants, a lottery system will be followed.

With regard to the admissions to the students from class 9, the admissions will be given based on the entrance examinations while the admission to the students of class 11 will be provided based on the class 10 marks secured.

The guidelines also state that the preference in admissions will be given to the children of serving employees, grandchildren of serving employees, and the children and grandchildren of retired employees.
