Teachers’ Day: CBSE asks students to acknowledge teachers through messages

In the light of Corona pandemic, Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) along with the entire fraternity of CBSE schools will celebrate Teachers Day 2020 in a different manner. The Board has urged everyone to acknowledge the precious contribution of the teaching community.

The Board through their official twitter handle has asked all students, schools, and parents to use these hashtags with messages, selfies, sketches, anecdotes, positive experiences and share them on social media platforms on September 4 and 5, 2020 for giving a befitting recognition to the mentors.

The board across the country have also come together to salute the mentors and recipients of CBSE Teacher Awards. The entire fraternity of the affiliated schools of CBSE including 250 schools across the world has joined together to celebrate the Teachers Day.

National Teachers Award is organized every year to recognize the efforts of teachers throughout the year. An independent jury is constituted by the Ministry of Education, Department of School Education & Literacy to select the award recipients for the year 2020.

This year 153 teachers were shortlisted by the Jury from 36 states and UTs through Video Conferencing. One teacher of North West Delhi named Jyoti Arora was selected for the award this year. Arora is the Principal of Mount Abu Public School affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education.

Meanwhile, a total of 12 teachers from Delhi were chosen for CBSE Teachers Awards.
