23 students of Haryana’s Super-100 crack IIT

In a major success for ‘Special Programme Super-100’started by Haryana Government, 23 students under this programme have got admission in IIT this year.

An official spokesperson of the School Education Department said that the entire Department deserves congratulations as this is the first achievement in the history of the Department. He informed that ‘Special Programme Super-100’ was started in 2018 under which centres were established in Rewari and Panchkula.

At these centres, meritorious underprivileged students of government schools were given coaching for admission in premier institutes like IITs. Forty-eight students each were preparing for the session, 2018 – 2020, for the entrance examination centres at Rewari and Panchkula, out of which 86 students have achieved success in Advance and NEET and IIT.

He informed that this training was completed by 48 each students in both Rewari and Panchkula centres in non-medical stream in the session 2018-20. During the JEE-Main examination, 63 students qualified for the advance, while for the IIT, Delhi, 23 students have secured admission. In this programme, 8 students belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC) category have secured position in IIT and Praveen from Sirsa has achieved All India 434 rank in Scheduled Caste category. If we talk about Other Backward Classes (OBC) and Backward Classes (BC), this has been achieved by 9 students, in which All India Rank of Kajal from Fatehabad is 293. Similarly, five students of General Category have got admissions in colleges.
