The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), in consultation with the National Medical Commission (NMC), has issued a notice to begin the 2020-2021 academic session for medical specialty courses for super specialties and students. According to the announcement published by MCC, the academic session for the courses (D.M. / M.Ch & DNB SS) begins on January 19, while for the MBBS / BDS courses, the academic session 2020-21 begins on February 2.
The authorities in the opinion added that “this implies the approval of the competent authority for the information and other actions that the universities and applicants need.” Now applicants who are assigned MBBS / BDS or SS seats at their respective colleges can begin their studies from the specified date.

Applicants who have appeared and qualify for NEET 2020 UG and SS by providing the required cap. Then qualified applicants must go through the counseling process conducted by respected authorities for their respective courses. Based on ranking, selection, available seats, reservation criteria and other factors, applicants were assigned a seat and DM / M.Ch and DNB SS were admitted through NEET SS 2020 and MBBS / BDS seats up to NEET 2020. According to NEET SS 2020 approved 31 super specialty courses offered in 156 government / private / deemed / central institutes and AFMC. While 80,055 MBBS have been passed based on the NEET 2020 exam, 26,949 BDS seats have been passed.
