Eminent Academician Professor Bechan Lal has been appointed as Vice Chancellor of the Cluster University of Jammu for a term of three years.
The order in this regard was given by Lieutenant Governor (LG) J&K Manoj Sinha, who is also the Chancellor of the university.
“In the exercise of my powers under section 12 of Srinagar University and the Jammu Cluster Act 2016, 1 Manoj Sinha, Chancellor of Jammu Cluster University, appoints Professor Bechan Lal as Vice Chancellor of Cluster University of Jammu, “the Order reads.
According to the appointment, the mandate of the new Cluster University CV is three years from the date of taking office.

“The general conditions will be communicated separately”, specifies the order.
“Community workers are always at the forefront to alleviate the difficulties of citizens.”
Previously, the VC Cluster University Jammu position was administered by VC Jammu University as an additional fee.
Professor Bechan Lal is currently working at Banaras Hindu University (BHU) as Head of the Department of Zoology. The research committee formed for the selection of VC for Cluster University Jammu was formed by VC University of Lucknow, Professor Alok Kumar Rai as Chairman and Director of NIT Srinagar, Professor RakeshSehgal and VC Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU) Karta , Professor Ravindar Kumar directs Sinha are its members.
In particular, the appointment of a new rector of the Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University (BGSBU) in Rajouri has been delayed for unknown reasons.
