SRMJEEE 2019: Results announced, know the counseling schedule

SRM Institute of Science and Technology has announced the results for SRMJEEE 2019 on Saturday, April 27, 2019. The candidates who have given the examination can check their report card at university’s official website: srmuniv.ac.in.

The university had conducted the exam in its Chennai, Amaravati and Delhi NCR campuses, for the admission to BTech courses offered by the varsity.

How to check SRMJEEE 2019 Result: Follow the steps below:

1. Visit the official website: srmuniv.ac.in

2. Login by entering your roll number.

3. The result will be displayed.

4. Download and take a print out, if needed.

Candidates who have been selected in the exam result will be summoned for the counselling sessions, which is scheduled to be held on May 3, 4, 5, 7 and 8, 2019. Due to election in some states, the SRMJEEE counselling will not take place on May 6, states the official notification.

Further, to save the students from the discomfort of travelling and making the process cost-effective for them, the university has organized for the on-campus common counseling. It will be held concurrently at the six campuses – Kattankulathur, Vadapalani, Ramapuram, NCR Ghaziabad, Delhi – NCR, Sonepat and Amaravati.

The candidates, who are called for the counseling, can travel to any campus of their choice on the scheduled date. As per the SRMJEEE rank order and availability of seats, candidates can choose any university (SRMIST, SRM-Haryana, SRM-AP), any of the above six campuses and any specialization.

The admission to all the four campuses of SRM Institute of Science & Technology (SRMIST), and SRM University HARYANA, Delhi – NCR Sonepat, and SRM University AP, Amaravati, will be given on the basis of All India Rank (AIR) obtained in SRMJEEE (B.Tech) 2019.

UP Bard Result 2019: Gautam Raghuvanshi with 97.17% has emerged as the class 10th topper and Tanu Tomar with 97.80% emerged as the class 12th topper in the UP board class 10th and 12th board exam results announced on April 27, 2019.

Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) has announced the UP Board 2019 results for Class 10 and 12 on Saturday.

Overall topper of class 10th – Gautam Raghuvanshi is followed by Shivam who got the second rank in the board exams with 97% and Tanuja Vishwakarma who claimed third position with 96.83%.

In the UP Board Intermediate Exam, girls have grabbed all the top three positions. With Baghpat-based Tanu Tomar as the topper, Gonda-based Bhagyashree Upadhyay is on the second position with 97.2% and Akanksha Shukla is on the third position who scored 94.80%.

The board had conducted exam for class 10th during February 7 to 29 in the month of February. And for class 12th, the exams were conducted 7 February to 2 March this year. Around 58 lakh students appeared for both formats of examination.

This year, 58.6 lakh students registered for the UP board class 10th and 12th exams. Of which, Around 6.52 lakh students were failed to appear for the examinations and 403 students were caught cheating.

IIT Kharagpur partners Jindal Stainless to introduce elective course on stainless steel

Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur (IIT-Kharagpur) has tied-up with Jindal Stainless to introduce a 3-credit course on stainless steel and advanced ferrous alloys.

The new courses will be the part of institute’s undergraduate and postgraduate curriculum under the Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering.

As per the course curriculum, students will study about stainless steel, uniqueness of its various grades, behavioural and forming characteristics, determination of life-cycle cost, along with the study of advanced ferrous alloys. The course is expected to start from July,2019.

IIT Kharapgpur’s Head, Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, Rahul Mitra, while commenting on introduction of this new elective course, said: “The curriculum shall focus on detailed study of different aspects of stainless steel and ferrous alloys. We thank Jindal Stainless for their efforts and look forward to a healthy industry-academia relationship.”

Managing Director, Jindal Stainless, Abhyuday Jindal said, “As a green metal, stainless steel has the potential to re-imagine sustainability. With IIT Kharagpur’s support, this course will instil a sense of innovation in the students and motivate them to embrace sustainable solutions in the future.”

Under the partnership, IIT-Kharagpur students will visit the manufacturing units of Jindal Stainless in Hisar and Pathredi in Haryana to get real-time exposure of stainless steel fabrication. The course curriculum will also give to students through. With 3 lectures a week, the duration of the course will be four months.

AIIMS PG Exam 2019: Admit Card released, know how to download!

The admit card of AIIMS PG 2019 exam of July session has been released by All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, on its official website on 26 th April, 2019. Students can download their admit cards by simply logging in with their User ID and password.

Important information about the candidates including Name, Roll No, Registration, Time, Date and Venue of the exam has been incorporated on the AIIMS admit card.

The AIIMS PG 2019 exam will be conducted on 5 th May 2019. The question paper will have 200 objective questions of MBBS level. Mode of examination is online and exam will held from 9 am to 12 noon.

Exam result is expected to release on 13 th May, 2019. And the session will begin from July onwards.

AIIMS (New Delhi) is the conducting body of the PG exams for MD/MS/MCh (6YRS) / DM (6YRS) / MDS.

There are a total of 464 MD/MS/DM/MCh seats whereas 14 MDS seats will be filled through AIIMS PG 2019 (July).

Auto, Retail and BFSI, top hiring sectors in July-December 2018: A report

A growth of 4 percent was recorded in overall talent demand during the July–December 2018. Auto, Retail and BFSI, were the top hiring sectors for the aforesaid period, stated TimesJobs RecruiteX Biannual report.

The report revealed that Automobiles, Retail and BFSI witnessed 14%, 13% and 9% growth in talent demand respectively. Advent of electric vehicles and entry of big foreign players in the Indian market are the main reasons behind Automobiles sector is witnessing a rapid growth.

The Indian IT sector, which wasn’t among the top five sectors in terms of recruitment during the January- June 2018 period, showed significant pace during the period. The Indian IT sector was the fourth topmost hiring sector with 7% growth in talent demand from July-December 2018. It is considered that the diversification plan of most corporate is the main reason behind the IT sector’s growth. Delhi-NCR was the top job hub for all IT related job opportunities across junior, middle and senior management levels.

Commenting on the findings of the RecruiteX Biannual report, Sanjay Goyal, Business Head, TimesJobs and TechGig said, “The surge in overall talent demand from July-December 2018 is a positive development and indicates that India Inc. has been in the hiring mode. In July 2018, the hiring activities recorded a huge rise of 16% M-o-M and that followed in the next six months as well. We expect this momentum to remain for some time.”

Key highlights of the report are:

• Overall talent demand increased by 4% in July–December 2018 review period

• Automobiles sector topped the hiring tally with 14% increase in talent demand in the review period

• Retail and BFSI sectors followed with 13% and 9% growth respectively

• IT sector followed next with 7% growth

Bengaluru, Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Pune and Chennai were among the top job hubs

AP EAMCET 2019 answer keys now available

Student Response Sheet for AP EAMCET – 2019 has been released on 25 April, 2019. Candidates can download the answer key by visiting the official website of EAMCET or clicking on the link given below.

After filling the Registration No and EAMCET Hall Ticket No, candidates can access the answer sheet. The option having green tick is the correct answer for that question whereas the option given by the candidate shown as chosen option in the Response Sheet.

The official notification reads, “Respective Candidate Specific Question Paper, responses submitted by the student and the corresponding answers (as per preliminary key) are sent to individual mail ids (as per the mail id furnished in on line application form)”.

Students who are not satisfied can raise the objection to the answer key on or before April 26. For this, one needs to send the objections to the concerned authority in a prescribed format. Shoot the mail on apeamcet2019objections@gmail.com before 5 pm on the last day.

For the uninitiated, Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (EAMCET) is conducted by Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Kakinada on behalf of APSCHE. This examination is the prerequisite for admission into various professional courses offered by University/ Private Colleges in the state of Andhra Pradesh.

The examination result will decide the fate of the students and will give them admission into the first year of the academic session 2019-2020 in the State of Andhra Pradesh.

Qualified candidates will get the admission into the following courses: Engineering, Biotechnology, BTech (Dairy Technology), BTech (Food Science and Technology) and BSc (Agriculture), BSc (Horticulture), BVSc and AH/ BFSc, BPharmacy and Pharma D.

Tamil Nadu Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) or class 10th result is scheduled to be announced on April 29, 2019. The Directorate of Government Examinations, Tamil Nadu (TNDGE), has announced the dates recently.

Students appeared in the 10th board exam this year can check their results on the official website of the Board: http://www.dge.tn.gov.in. The students who appeared in the Class X annual board examination in the state of Tamil Nadu are advised to check the aforesaid website on regular basis to get the latest update on the result declaration.

C Amuthavalli, Joint Director (Secondary), Directorate of Government Exams (Tamil Nadu), said, “The evaluation of class 10 answer scripts was over and random checking of results is going on. The results would be released on April 29 as scheduled.”

Immediately after the announcement of TN SSLC result 2019, students can download their results from the official results website of the TNDGE: http://tnresults.nic.in. Students must take the print out of their result for future references.
