The online registration for Common Admission Test (CAT) registration process will be closed today i.e. September 26. Candidates interested to appear for the exam can apply through the official website — iimcat.ac.in by five pm.
Earlier, the registrations for CAT 2018 were scheduled to be end on September 19, but it got extended till today.
Indian Institute of Management Calcutta is authorised institute to organize CAT 2018 on Sunday, November 25, in 147 cities across the country in two sessions. The admit card for CAT will be released on October 24, and students can download it through the official website: iimcat.ac.in.
A tutorial to understand the format of the test will also be available on the official website from October 17. The website contains a section on Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) that addresses some of the commonly asked queries regarding CAT 2018. Candidates to resolve any confusion regarding the test may also contact the CAT help desk over email or phone.
IIM CAT 2018: Exam pattern
The examination will be of 180 minutes (3 hours) and candidates will be allotted sixty minutes for answering questions in each section. The questions will be in three sections: Section – A, B, and C. Candidates will be restricted to switch from one section to another. Section A will be of Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension, Section B will be of Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning, and the last Section will be of Quantitative Ability.
Those who will qualify the exam will be eligible for admission to management courses, including PGP, PGDM, PGPEM, EPGP, PGPBM, PGPEX, at various IIMs across the country. The results for the CAT 2018 are expected to be released in the second week of January.
