UPSC releases Civil Services Admit Card for preliminary exam

UPSC Civil Services Admit Card

Providing relief to students, Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released UPSC Civil Services Admit Card 2020. Students who will appear for the preliminary examination can download the admit card through the official site of UPSC at upsc.gov.in and would be available from September 1 to October 4, 2020.

The preliminary exams would be conducted on October 4, 2020. The online application process was started on February 12 and ended on March 3, 2020. The examination is conducted in two successive stages- Preliminary and Mains.

The preliminary exams will consist of two papers of Objective type (multiple choice questions) and carry a maximum of 400 marks in the subjects set out in subsection (A) of Section II. This examination is meant to serve as a screening test only. The marks obtained in prelims exam will be declared eligible for the main exam.

Candidates who will qualify the preliminary exams would be called for admission to the Civil Services (Main) Examination.

Earlier, the exams was scheduled to be conducted on May 3, which was postponed due to the outbreak followed by the lockdown. Candidates who will qualify the examination will have to undergo a training in order to become a civil servant in India.
