In a major development, the University Grants Commission (UGC) has issued guidelines for universities to start admission after September 9 and beyond. The UGC is also planning to issue a revised academic calendar.
The UGC has written to all universities and colleges to allow provisional admission to all the eligible students even after September 30 as the final year examinations will happen in universities till end September.
As per the official statement, “Admissions to the UG and PG programmes for the session 2020-21 may be completed by 31.08.2020. If necessity arises, provisional admissions may also be made and relevant documents of qualifying examination may be accepted up to 30.09.2020”.
