Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan laud

Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan praised the UP government for implementing the National Education Policy in the state. The UP state is focusing on skill development and making it a priority to improve the skill gaps.

The minister mentioned that it is great to know UP is implementing the National Education Policy in its true sense and improving in the field of education.

In fact, skill development is getting a priority in the state. The education minister said 15-18 percent students of the country study in UP.

The good governance in UP is making things easy and transforming the education system, he added.

IIT Bombay extends UCEED 2022 Registration Deadline till October 17

The registration deadline for the Undergraduate Common Entrance Exam for Design (UCEED) 2022 has been extended. This decision has been taken by Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay.

The last date has been extended till Sunday, October 17, 2021. Online registration can be down with late fee till October 22, 2021. The further details can be registered through the official website uceed.iitb.ac.in.

The examination will be held on 23, January 2022 and is test-centre based examination.

Admissions to the Bachelor of Design (BDes) programmes at IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad and IIITDM Jabalpur are done through the Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination for Design (UCEED).

Candidates who have cleared Class 12 in any stream—Science, Commerce, or Arts & Humanities — are eligible to appear for UCEED 2022.

Students who have qualified UCEED 2022 can apply to take admission to the BDes programme at major institutes like IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad and IIITDM Jabalpur for the academic session 2022-2023.

JEE Advanced 2021 result to be declared soon

The results for Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced 2021 will be declared on October 15. Students can check the official website- jeeadv.ac.in for further information.

The candidates who have appeared in the JEE Advance 2021 need to qualify the entrance examination and should meet the necessary cut-off.

The counselling by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) counselling 2021 will be conducted after the result has been declared.

The students will get admission to various IITs, NITs, IITs and other GFTIs after completion of the admission procedures. It is expected that JoSAA counselling will be held online and information will be declared on the official website.

National Eligibility cum Entrance Test

The result of National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET 2021) will be announced by the National Testing Agency (NTA) soon. Candidates qualifying the NEET 2021 will be eligible to appear for NEET 2021 counselling.

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will be conducting the counselling under 15 percent all India quota. In fact, 85 percent state quota seats are available in Central Universities, Deemed Universities and Universities.

Following are the reservation category-wise as mentioned here. Schedule Caste 15 percent, Schedule Tribe 7.5 per cent, PwBD per cent Horizontal Reservation, OBC (Non- Creamy Layer)- 27 per cent (Only in national institutes or central universities) and EWS- 10 per cent (Only in national institutes or central universities).

NEET 2021 is a window for students to get admission to undergraduate medical or dental courses. The qualified candidates will be asked for documents including educational certificates, caste certificate (if mentioned) among others for the verifications. Also, it includes self declaration along with the documents.

Students get admission to the courses on the basis of the merit-lists declared category-wise All India Rank (AIR). Infact, students seeking admission in courses like MBBS, BDS, and other courses in AIIMS, JIPMER or other Central Universities need to attend the counselling. Other institutions like Delhi University, Banaras Hindu University and other universities will also use NEET 2021 score to provide admission.

Over 60,000 Applications for DU Admission Under 1st Cut-Off List

After the Delhi University has declared the first cut-off lists, around 60,000 applications have been received for admission by the university. From this, 14,205 applications have been approved and 27,0006 have already made their payments.

Anju Srivastava, principal of Hindu college said that the Hindu College has nearly 2000 admissions to only 956 seats. “We will be closed for admissions to Political Science (Honours), History (Honours), Hindi (Honours), BA programme, Philosophy (Honours), etc and almost all the science courses. I think we will only have seats left in BA (Honours) Economics and BCom (Honours),” she added.

Similarly, Miranda House has 1,600 admissions and many have cleared the payments.

Dr Kalpana Bhakuni, Principal of Kamala Nehru College, said, “Every year shows a different trend and this year, we are seeing that the seats for reserved categories are filling up quite fast in our college while there is slow movement on the unreserved seats. We hope that the unreserved seats will be filled up in the second and third cut-off lists.”

The picture will be clear once the payments are made by the applicants.
In the same way, colleges like Aryabhatta College, Hansraj College, Maharaja Agrasen College are receiving applications for various courses and admission.

Banaras Hindu University invites applications for Performing Arts Diploma Courses

The application process of Banaras Hindu University (BHU) for admission to junior part-time diploma courses offered by the Faculty of Performing Arts has started.

Currently, the candidates can apply for Music and Instrumental and Dance programmes offline. The last date to apply for the courses is October 26.

The selection will be on the basis of performance. The online aptitude test will be conducted from November 8.
Students applying to the course have to pass the Class 10th board examination with 50 percent marks. SC and ST candidates need to only have passing marks.

BHU’s Faculty of Performing Arts will offer: Kathak Dance, Bharatnatyam Dance, Hindustani Vocal, Karnatic Vocal, Flute, Sitar, Violin, Tabla and Mridangam. The programme is for three years duration.

Edtech start-up, upGrad has recorded growth in its annual revenue growth. The gross revenue to cross $210 million annual revenue rate (ARR) in September. However, it has forecasted a revenue growth of $500 million in March 2022.

The company has included in its curriculum a lifelong learning for professionals within the age of 18-60 year. The skill development initiatives will be imparted by its recent acquisition of Knowledgehut and Govt Test Prep Jeet.

In fact, the firm’s study abroad portfolio has witnessed 300 per cent growth. The company is also observing growth in the expansion of its international business. “Along with our existing growth plans, our Merger & Acquisition appetite for non-linear growth continues to remain large on a strategic level,” said Mayank Kumar, MD and co-founder, upGrad.

Schools Reopening: Kerala Govt prepares centralised module to relieve stress of parents

As many schools across the country will reopen soon, the Kerala General Education Department is preparing a centralised module to get relief from stress and anxiety among students and parents.

“As part of the initiative, teachers will be given training initially based on the module and such trained teachers in turn will impart awareness lessons to parents to relieve their tension and anxiety,” said Minister for General Education V Sivankutty during a question hour session in the state assembly.

There are awareness classes given in the schools after reopening. Counselling sessions were already given to the students with support from the social justice department.

Steps are also being taken to clean and disinfect the schools and maintain all covid 19 protocols to ensure safety. In fact, the schools are imparting online education due to the covid 19 pandemic currently.

CA December Exam 2021 will open for registration On October 11

Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) will open the online filling of examination forms for CA. The registration link will be activated on October 11 for all the courses. The students interested in appearing in the examination need to apply through the official website icai.org.

The examination will begin on December 5 and will end on December 20. The admit card will be released soon by ICAI and the notification will be out shortly.

“Considering the prevailing COVID-19 situation and in the interest of welfare & well-being of the students, to mitigate their hardship, it has been decided to re-open the online filling up of examination application form for Chartered Accountants December, 2021 exams,” read the official notice.

The candidates who will be late in submitting a fee need to pay a fine of Rs 600. This will be the last opportunity to apply for ICAI CA December 2021 examination.

 

JNU 2021 Answer Key will be releasing soon

Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) is expected to release the answer key soon. The answer key will be available on the official website jnuexams.nta.ac.in.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) is going to provide a facility to challenge the answer key. The students will be paying Rs 200 for any challenged questions. JNU final answer key will be released based on the challenged questions.

“The NTA will display Answer Key of the questions on the NTA website www.nta.ac.in, https://jnuexams.nta.ac.in to provide an opportunity to the candidates to challenge the Answer Key. The Answer Keys are likely to be displayed for two to three days. The Candidates will be given an opportunity to make a challenge online against the Answer Key on payment of Rs. 200 (non-refundable) per question challenged as processing charges,” stated NTA on the JNU 2021 information bulletin.
