The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced Class 10 results today. Over 2.5 lakh students have secured 90 percent and above marks.

The marking has been on the basis of an alternative marking assessment. A total of 2,00,962 students secured 90-95 percent, a total of 57,824 students secured 95 percent.

Due to Covid 19 pandemic, the examinations were cancelled and students can check the result on the website of the board. The Class 10 pass percentage is 99.04 percent.

Maharashtra board to declare Class 12 results today

Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) will announce the Class 12 results today. The results will be available in the official website of the board i.e results.mh-ssc.ac.in and mahahsscboard.in.

This was declared by the state education minister Varsha Gaikwad via his twitter account on Monday. The results are expected at 4 pm in the evening.

Around 14 lakh students have registered for Class 12 exams in Maharashtra state. The examinations were cancelled this year due to the ongoing Covid 19 pandemic.

Recently, the Supreme Court has also directed schools to announce the Class 12 results by July 31.

Blackboard has witnessed a 39 percent surge in mobile application use in 2020. Blackboard Learn, an online teaching and learning platform, has seen a 400 percent hike. Also, there has been a 4800 percent increase in the use of its virtual classroom solution, Blackboard Collaborate.

“We are pleased to see that higher education institutions that have migrated to Blackboard’s Learning Management System, Learn, and virtual classroom solution, Blackboard Collaborate, successfully continue to deliver quality education to their students through the ongoing disruption of the pandemic,” he added.

Murray also said there will be significant options for hybrid models. Online learning will further increase its pace in India. “With remote learning being the future of education, it certainly has a critical part to play,” he added.

“By delivering an educational experience that is unique to the needs of each student, universities will be able to respond and encourage success at every stage in the education journey. This will lead to achievement of the most important outcomes in student and institutional success,” Murray further added.

Uttarakhand reopened the schools for Classes 9 to 12 on Monday. However, Classes 6 to 8 will be reopening from August 16. The state government said recently that all boarding, day boarding government and private schools will reopen soon.

According to the order issued, all Covid 19 protocols should be maintained to ensure everyone’s safety. There should be proper provision to sanitise the premises, thermal screening and hand sanitizing at the gates.

Online classes will be conducted and students who are comfortable coming to school for offline classes may attend it. However, there should be consent from parents as well. There will be online classes for students of Classes 1 to 5.

All teachers and staff members also need to be vaccinated as well. Vaccination drives are going on all across the country. So, this is a reason why many schools in India are reopening schools in the country.

CBSE Class 10 Result 2021 will not be releasing today

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is unlikely to declare results of Class 10 today, confirmed the board officials. The Class 10 result is expected to be announced this week but not today.

The candidates need to wait for some time for the results. The results will be available on the official website of board cbseresults.nic.in. The examinations were cancelled due to covid 19 pandemic.

Around 18 lakh students have registered for Class 10 examination across the country.

Chhattisgarh to reopen schools for Classes 10 and 12

Chhattisgarh schools will reopen for Classes 10, 12 from today. The government-run and private schools will reopen with 50 percent attendance. Due to Covid 19 pandemic, the schools were closed down to avoid spread of the virus.

Currently, the state is witnessing a decline in the positivity rates of the district. The positivity rate of covid cases is one percent for the last seven days.

The schools were shut down in April onwards due to the second wave of Covid 19 pandemic. During a cabinet meeting by Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, the decision to reopen schools was taken.

The government also recently informed about the offline classes that will start from today. However, these classes will start only in those districts where the positivity is less. The Classes for 6, 7, 8 and 11 will be starting immediately. All Covid protocols will be taken care of while conducting offline classes. There is no compulsion to attend offline classes and online classes will also continue.

 

Delhi University will start registration process for undergraduate courses from today

Delhi University will start the registration process for undergraduate courses from today. There are 70,000 seats available for the registration.

The admission process will be interactive like last year and there will be an Artificial Intelligence-enabled chat box that will solve queries of the students. The last date of registrations is August 31.

The whole admission will be online and there will be no formalities to visit university. The first cut off list will be declared between September 7-10, according to officials.

“While CBSE, ISC boards have declared results, there are many state boards that are yet to announce results. We will provide the students the option of updating their marks at a later stage and a special window will be opened for it,” a Delhi University (DU) official said.

In 2020, over 2.85 lakh applicants applied to Delhi University from the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). CBSE has declared the Class 12 results recently. The Board of School Education, Haryana and Council for Indian School Certificate Examinations (ISC) also have 12,000 applicants.

The admission will be on merit basis and if required entrance examination will be conducted. Such entrance tests will be conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) between September 26 and October 1.

Punjab to reopen schools from today for pre-primary levels. The state has already reopened schools for classes 10 to 12 from July 26 onwards. This was informed by state School Education Minister Vijay Inder Singla said on Sunday.

“Following the approval of Chief Minister Amarinder Singh in view of the present Covid situation, the Education Department is all set to reopen schools for all classes from August 2 onwards,” said Singla in an official statement here.

The minister said that the reopening of schools will play a major role to assess the learning of students as there were no offline classes conducted due to the covid pandemic situation since 2020. The schools conducted the classes virtually during these one and half years.

He added that reopening of schools will also provide a chance for students and teachers to collaborate and understand subjects in depth. There will be no loss of learning and conducting practical classes will help students to perform better.

He ensured that all education officers are fully vaccinated to conduct physical classes. Moreover, all COVID protocols will be maintained to keep students and teachers safe.

Pawan Kumar Goyal is appointed as the new Additional Chief Secretary (ACS), School Education, Language and Library Department, Government of Rajasthan.

Goyal has been transferred to this position currently. He is a 1988 batch IAS officer, who was working as the Chairman of Indira Gandhi Canal Board before the transfer.
