It has been announced that the pending session for JEE Main 2021 will be held in July and August. Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ announced the pending exam dates for JEE Main on Tuesday.

The minister said that the students who are unable to register earlier for the exams can register now. The engineering entrance examination for the third session will begin from July 20 to 25 and the fourth session will begin between July 27 to August 2. Pokhiryal on Tuesday also added that under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the center has decided to resume engineering entrance examinations amid Covid pandemic.

Due to the ongoing Covid crisis, the National Testing Agency (NTA) cancelled the examination for JEE mains. Multiple social media posts and repeated requests have urged the Education Minister to address the issue of conducting entrance examinations for engineering. The minister addressed the nation on this matter through the Ministry of Education’s official twitter handle.

This year, in a first, NTA is holding the undergraduate engineering admission test – JEE Main — in four sessions. While the February and March sessions were held on time without any interruption, the April and May exams had to be deferred. During the examination process, the NTA will also follow all the COVID protocols.
