VSATs to be installed in govt schools in Arunachal Pradesh for online education

The Arunachal Pradesh government has decided to install very small aperture terminals (VSATs) in selected public schools to facilitate online education in the state. The initiative began as a pilot project with more than 50 VSATs with an installation capacity of more than 100 public schools.

Arunachal Pradesh Secretary of State Naresh Kumar organized a video conference with the Deputy Commissioners and Deputy Principals of the schools and asked them to create their own class in the schools using available inventories.

Senior officials also asked the Deputy Commissioners and DDSE to expand logistical support so that VSATs are operational by February 18, 2021. The Secretary General also said that VSAT technology will allow two-way virtual communication between them, teachers and students. Technology will improve the quality of instruction and help students, especially in areas where subject teachers are lacking.

VSAT technology information

VSATs are small software-controlled ground stations used for reliable transmission of data, video, or satellite. To stream learning through VSAT, you must configure the VSAT system, learning centers, Earth Station Hub, a teacher studio from which lessons can be delivered, data servers, and a DISH antenna over the classrooms for communication.

According to the Secretary General, within the framework of the new National Education Policy 2020, 300 public primary schools have been designated as activity and learning centers for children in the state from 3 to 6 years old.

UP Board to conduct Class 12 exams in two phases

The UP Board of Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad has published the call for the practical exams of class 12 or UP Board Inter 2021. NSDC ties up with California State University to offer 200 free courses

The National Skills Development Corporation (NSDC) has partnered with California State University Long Beach (CSULB) to offer more than 200 free courses for skill seekers in India. As part of the partnership, the CSULB Skills Commons platform and MERLOT will also be integrated into eSkillindia.org to promote e-learning among the country’s youth.

California State University Long Beach and eSkillIndia will initially add courses in areas such as health, management, information technology, finance, employability and more. UP govt to recruit 1,894 principal and assistant teachers

The percentage of qualification of the written test for the hiring of 1,894 positions is 65% for general candidates and 60% for all candidates in the reserved category. According to the guidelines, the recruitment test would be higher than the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) for both positions. The Teaching Assistant Recruitment Test lasts 2.30 hours, with 150 multiple-choice questions, each with a grade. Applicants for the position of director must also be included in an additional one-hour article based on the general questionnaire, which also includes 50 questions about the director according to established guidelines.

At least five years of teaching experience is required for a candidate for the position of principal.

Punjab to reopen primary schools from January 27 for classes 3 & 4

Odisha Governor and Chancellor of Universities, Professor Ganeshi Lal appointed eminent academician Professor Sanjiv Mittal as the Vice Chancellor (VC) of Sambalpur University. Odisha govt announces reduction in tuition fee in all private schools

To relieve students and their guardians, the Odisha government has announced that it will reduce tuition rates at all supported and unsupported private schools for the 2020-2021 academic session in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Ministry of Schools and Mass Education said in a notice published Tuesday that the tuition reduction will be divided into seven different panels. While there is no exemption for schools that charge Rs 6,000 per year, those that charge between Rs 6,001 and Rs 12,001 reduce tuition fees by 7.5%.

Around 12% reduction for tuition fees between Rs 12,001 and 24,000 per year, 15% for fees between Rs 24,001 and 48,000, 20% for tuition fees between Rs 48,001 and 72,000, 25% for Rs 72,001 to Rs 72,000 fees and 26% for charges greater than Rs 1 lakh per year, according to the statement.

Other than that, schools cannot charge students for food and transportation. However, the ad indicates that 30% of the hostel fee will be waived.

The state government’s action was based on a Superior Court directive calling on the government to increase 2020-2021 tuition rates at all supported and unsupported private schools for the 2020-2021 academic session after the COVID pandemic. -19 reduce.
