The Joint Entrance Examination, the JEE Main exam in April 2021, has been postponed by the National Testing Agency due to the increase in the number of COVID 19 cases in the country. The NTA has issued a notice to inform students of the postponement of the April 2021 JEE Core Exam, today April 18, 2021. The April 2021 JEE Core Exam is scheduled to take place before April 27-30, 2021.
Union’s Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal used his social media platform to post the notification himself. The Minister’s official tweet reads: “Given the current situation on Covid 19, I advised the NTA to postpone the JEE 2021 Main until April. The Ministry of Education is my main concern at this time. Please note: The dates of the JEE (the main Exam) – April 2021 will be announced later and at least 15 days before the exam. “
The NTA announcement reads: “In view of the current COVID-19 pandemic situation and in view of the safety and well-being of candidates and exam officers, it has been decided to postpone the JEE (main) meeting – April 2021 Revised JEE (Main) Exam Dates: April 2021 will be announced later and at least 15 days before the exam, in the meantime, candidates are encouraged to use this time to better prepare for the exam NTA Abhyas “.
The NTA completed the registration process for the JEE Core Exam in April 2021 on April 14. This year, the NTA had launched several attempts at the JEE core exam to provide the flexibility needed to take the exam and give students the opportunity to improve their performance. The main JEE Exam in May 2021 will take place on May 24-28, 2021.
Several other exams, including the NEET PG 2021 and CBSE, CISCE Board 2021 exams, were postponed earlier this week. However, it is recommended that students check jeemain.nta.nic for the latest updates.
