Dr. Manoj Choudhary, Dean (International, Alumni, and Corporate Relations) and Professor of Electrical Engineering at IIT Jodhpur has been named the first Vice Chancellor of Gati Shakti University in Vadodara, Gujarat (previously known as National Rail & Transportation Institute) (NRTI). He will serve as Vice Chancellor of Gati Shakti University for five years, beginning on the day he takes office.
He is currently an invited member of the 6G Task Force in the Government of India’s Department of Telecom, a member of the Management Council of the Semiconductor Laboratory in the Ministry of Electronics and IT, and the Director of the Jodhpur DISCOM Board.
“It is an absolute honour and privilege to be the First Vice Chancellor of the new public Central University, Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya, which focuses on the entire transport sector to support the ambitious growth and modernisation in the field,” Dr. Manoj Choudhary said.

The University will support and enable the PM Gati Shakti National Master Plan by developing a talented, well-trained, and focused cadre to deal with the complexities of the transportation sector.
