Talisma Corporation has unveiled Talisma Jeevika, a pioneering platform designed to offer comprehensive support to university students throughout their academic journey. Aiming to significantly enhance student employment rates in India, which currently stands at a concerning 12.2%, according to the Centre for Monitoring Indian Economy, Talisma Jeevika seeks to address and rectify this pressing issue.

Talisma Jeevika, an AI-driven platform, stands out by providing students with valuable job data across various industries and roles, preparing them for the job market. It guides students in selecting appropriate courses that align with their career aspirations, supports their learning and development, and continues to assist them through their transition into the workforce and as part of the alumni community.

Dr. Raj Mruthyunjayappa, Chairman and CEO of Talisma Corporation, articulated the mission behind Talisma Jeevika: “The vision for Talisma Jeevika is to drive innovation to solve problems for the nation. By establishing an early connection with students, the platform offers a strategic roadmap for potential employment opportunities while providing personalised academic and career support, including a ‘course-skill-job’ mapping for individualised assistance.”

In a significant initial collaboration, Karnataka State Open University (KSOU) will be the first to implement Talisma Jeevika. KSOU, which offers 65 programs ranging from undergraduate and postgraduate degrees to diplomas and certificates for over 60,000 distance education students, will leverage the platform to enhance its online and distance learning programs. The platform promises a unique unified enrollment portal that raises awareness about government schemes, suggests areas for improvement, and motivates students to complete their courses.

With a focus on employment readiness, Talisma Jeevika aims to bridge the gap between the job market and student capabilities through personalised skill assessments and skill-upgradation opportunities. The platform will facilitate job assistance by connecting students with the state skill portal, generating avenues for internships and apprenticeships, and aiding in interview preparation.

This groundbreaking initiative by Talisma Corporation not only sets a new precedent for educational support systems in India but also offers hope for countless students navigating the challenges of securing employment in an increasingly competitive job market.
