Andhra Pradesh has become the first state in India to provide statewide access to Canva for Education for all government school students, teachers, and education department officials. The initiative is part of the state’s broader push to strengthen digital learning and build future-ready classrooms.
The School Education Department and Samagra Shiksha have partnered with Canva to offer free access to the design and visual communication platform. Students will be able to create presentations, infographics, videos, projects, and other digital content while developing creativity, communication, and problem-solving skills.
The platform will be integrated with Andhra Pradesh’s LEAP (Learning Excellence in Andhra Pradesh) app, Google Workspace ecosystem, and Chromebooks deployed in schools, subject to technical feasibility. Teachers will also receive training through a phased Training of Trainers (ToT) model and guidance on the responsible use of AI tools in classrooms.
