Amid Coronavirus outbreak

In order to prevent the spread of COVID-19 among students, the Government of Karnataka postpones school examination for classes 7 to 9 till March 31, 2020. The State’s Education Minister, S Suresh Kumar released the directive on Sunday, March 15, 2020. According to the directions from Karnataka’s Education department, the revised schedule of examinations will be released post condition of the situation in coming days.

Further, Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa has asked the citizens to avoid travelling until it’s an emergency. The state government has taken the virus outbreak seriously and had shut down all educational institutions, malls, and clubs for a week.

As of yet, there are 115 coronavirus cases reported in the country and two deaths. As the disease is spreading rapidly, the centre had decided to treat the deadly virus as a “notified disaster”.
