
In the wake of COVID-19 outbreak, Madhya Pradesh state board exams will be held only in 19 subjects after the lockdown.
Following the Central Board of Secondary Education’s (CBSE), MP’s Madhyamik Shiksha Mandal announced that it will not conduct the remaining board exams for Class 10 and 12 in any subject barring the 19.
The MP board will hold exams for include Hindi, English and Sanskrit for Class 10 and biology, chemistry, higher mathematics, political science and economics for Class 12.
The notification said, “The board will hold exams only in subjects which are essential for admission into higher education”.
The board had announced it was postponing examinations as well as evaluation on March 25.
The board’s notification said “to reduce the anxiety of the examinees set to appear for board exams in 2020 and their parents, and keeping in mind their future.” The subjects students are not going to be tested on include biotechnology, physical education and range of skill-based courses.
