Dr Sayalee Gankar appointed V-C of DY Patil University

Dr Sayalee Gankar

Dr Sayalee Gankar has been appointed as the Vice-Chancellor of Pune-based DY Patil University, which is ranked as one of the top private universities in India founded by well-known educationist and philanthropist from Maharashtra Dr DY Patil.

Before joining DY Patil University, Talegaon, Pune, Dr Gankar has worked as a Dean Management (PG Studies) at MIT World Peace University. There she handled the role of Director for two flagship institutes of MAEERs MIT Group of Institutions: MIT School of Management (MITSOM) and MIT College of Management (MITCOM).

Having earned her PhD from Savitribai Phule Pune University, Dr Gankar is member and panel expert at various Board of Studies, Advisory Board of National and University levels such as NIBM, Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) and SIU.

She has also received the National Award for Best Entrepreneur Trainer Motivator by EDII, Ahmedabad in 2003.

Driven by in-depth knowledge about the business environment, she has also served as the chairperson for the Women Entrepreneur Committee at Mauritius Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI).
