
The Human Resource Ministry has postponed the Joint Entrance Exam (JEE-Main) for admission to IITs and engineering colleges over the outbreak of coronavirus. The JEE-Main exams were conducted under National Testing Agency (NTA).
The exam was scheduled from April 5-11, 2020.
A senior NTA official said, “The JEE-Main exam has been postponed. The new date will be decided in accordance with the board exams schedule and other competitive exams to ensure there is no clash”.
JEE (Main) 2020 will be conducted in the following modes:
-BE /BTech in “Computer Based Test (CBT)” mode only.
– BArch: Mathematics- Part I and Aptitude Test-Part II in “Computer Based Test (CBT)” mode only and Drawing Test -Part III in “Pen and Paper Based” (offline) mode to be attempted on drawing sheet of A4 size.
-BPlanning: Mathematics- Part I, Aptitude Test-Part II and Planning Based Questions-Part III in “Computer Based Test (CBT)” mode only
The HRD ministry has also ordered the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) to postpone Class 10 and Class 12 exams.
