HPBOSE Class 12 Results Declared: 7% dip in pass percentage, topper scores 98.8%

HPBOSE Class 12 Results

The Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education (HPBOSE) has declared the results for Class 12 examination on 22 nd April, Monday.

The candidates who had appeared in the examination, which was conducted from 20th February to 02nd March, 2019, can check the results on the official website hpbose.org. Apart from this, the results are also available on the partner websites: examresults.net and indiaresults.com.

Priety Birsanta has topped the examination with 98.8%. However, on the other hand, the pass percentage has stoop to an all-time low with only 62.01% students making it through.

Notably, the HPBOSE results have been witnessing a downwards trend since last three years. In 2016, the pass percentage was 78.93% while it declined to 72.89% in 2017. And this year, it saw a downward plunge of nearly 7% as compared to 2018 results when pass percentage was 69.67%.

As per the official data, out of 95492 students who appeared in the class 12 examination, 55949 have passed the same. Whereas, over 16,000 students, have to reappear in a compartment or supplementary exam.

How to check the results: Follow the below steps.

Step 1: Visit the official website, hpbose.org

Step 2: Click on the tab ‘Results’

Step 3: Click on the link Class 12 results

Step 4: Log-in using roll number

Step 5: Result will appear

Besides, students can also check their results on the mobile phones by messaging the following details on 56263 — HP12 <space> roll number.

For the students, who are not happy with their results can submit the application for re-evaluation or re-checking of their answer sheets by depositing a fees of Rs 400 and Rs 300 respectively. The board is expected to announce the dates soon, for the same.
