Health Ministry warns students over fake circular

The Press Information bureau through their official twitter PIB fact check account has declared the widely-circulated Ministry of Health letter dated June 27, 2020 and on the online counselling and PG Seat allotment in medical colleges.

“No such letter has been issued by the Ministry of Health,” stated the verified Twitter account of PIB fact check.

The letter, ostensibly from the health secretary, Preety Sudan, was addressed to the chief secretaries of all states.

The fake letter said: “ The Directorates General of Health Services, Government of India, New Delhi has been encrusted with responsibility to conduct online counselling for allotment of Post Graduate (MD/MS/Diploma and MDS) seats to eligible and qualified candidates as per the directions of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India”.

Meanwhile, the Medical Counselling Committee i.e. MCC has issued fresh allotment letters to NEET PG 2020 candidates who have cleared the NEET PG/ MDS Exam 2020. The Letter has been issued for seat allotment through 2nd round of counselling. As per the letter, the date for physical reporting by the candidates at the allotted institutes has been extended until 30th June 2020.
