KIET spreads awareness regarding COVID 19 Vaccination during Republic Day

KIET Group of Institutions, Delhi-NCR, Ghaziabad celebrated the Republic Day with full gusto and enthusiasm and pledged to support the campaign roll out of Covid-19 vaccine by disseminating the information among all students and faculty members for ensuring maximum outreach through them. The director KIET, Dr A Garg, shared that the institute is ready to contribute in the successful implementation of this drive which will be a big step towards mitigating the impact of this pandemic and will be our true service to the nation.

As we all are aware our country has very effectively faced an unprecedented public health crisis for the past several months in the form of COVID-19 and the Government has even rolled-out the vaccination programme, we feel contented to share that that the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has shown its belief in the University Networks and online talk platforms and requested them to come forward in helping them share the factually correct and prompt information and updates on vaccine benefits and rollout progress with the common people of the country. We, at KIET, have joined hands for this beautiful cause and initiated the same on the Republic Day 2021.

The 72nd Republic Day has been a special one for the members of KIET Group of Institutions as they not only celebrated it on in the blended mode ie. Online as well as physical form but also experiences their sense of responsibility for the nation. As always KIET being the trailblazer shouldered its responsibility and the KIET School of Pharmacy, under the banner of its Ayushman Club organized a Nukkad Natak on this special occasion wherein the students depicted benefits of Covaxin to inspire and encourage the citizens of India to get vaccinated as they get their turns.

Further, KIET Group of institutions intends to continue the effort in this direction by involving maximum students, mentors and faculty members of the institute to create a chain of volunteers who would visit the various villages and spread awareness among the public regarding the benefits of the vaccine. This will certainly encourage them to receive the vaccine with an open mind.

The day was also embellished by the mesmerizing cultural programs performed by the music and poetry club of the institute and the Award ceremony, wherein the selected Faculty & Staff members were felicitated with cash prizes and certificates for their excellent contributions in their own fields. The staff members like Praveen Singh, Kalptaru Nayak,  Ram Naresh, Pankaj Chaudhary, Sanjay Sharma, Shri Vinod Sharma, Anil Kumar, Narendra Sharma, Shaukinder and Shrimati Babita were awarded so as to acknowledge their hard work and effort.

KIET Group of Institutions also acknowledged the efforts of faculty members who contributed to the development of the institution by carrying the responsibilities other than teaching & research. Thereby Dr. Atul Kant Piyush for his incredible contribution as an NBA coordinator, Dr. Anand Prakash Shukla  as IQAC coordinator, Dr. Arun Kumar Tripathi as Admission Coordinator, Dr. Daksh Bhatia as Examination Committee Member, Dr. Mrinal Verma as Placement Coordinator, Ms. Meenakshi as the best Student’s mentor, Mr. Awadesh Kr. Srivastava as Moodle coordinator, Ms. Madhu Gautam as Best video lectures, and Dr. Shashank Bhardwaj as Website & Social Media coordinator.

Director- KIET Group of Institutions, Dr A Garg, in his address highlighted the history behind Republic day celebrations. He said, “As citizens of this country we need to re-dedicate ourselves to the cause of making India great. We need to ensure our responsibility to work towards this cause and be thankful for the freedom that we have today. It is an opportunity for us to remember our ancestors who sacrificed themselves for the freedom of future generations and we must not let their sacrifices go in vain. He reiterated that the students and faculty members must focus on practical learning to improve industry standards and contribute in the development of our great nation.”

The Joint Director, Dr. Manoj Goel reminded everyone to take a pledge to make this country better. He said, “We should all ensure to maintain the reputation that KIET has established over the last 20 years. We all are committed towards the welfare of each and every stakeholder. Student welfare is of immense importance to us and we are extremely proud of their accomplishments.”

The program was coordinated by the team of Dean Students Welfare and KIET School of Pharmacy, Prof Abhay Bhardwaj and Prof Shahdaab, moderated by Mr Himanshu and team HR.

The event was a great success and honoured with the presence of the Chairman of the Institute Sareesh Aggarwal. Dr Pramod Yadav, Rishi Malhotra, Dr Preeti Chitkara, Captain KP Singh, the heads and functional heads of the various departments congratulated all on this auspicious occasion.
