Chhattisgarh to reopen schools

Chhattisgarh schools will reopen for Classes 10, 12 from today. The government-run and private schools will reopen with 50 percent attendance. Due to Covid 19 pandemic, the schools were closed down to avoid spread of the virus.

Currently, the state is witnessing a decline in the positivity rates of the district. The positivity rate of covid cases is one percent for the last seven days.

The schools were shut down in April onwards due to the second wave of Covid 19 pandemic. During a cabinet meeting by Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, the decision to reopen schools was taken.
