BMC orders closure of schools for offline classes

With the increase in the number of Covid 19 cases, Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has ordered to stop the offline classes for students of class 1 to 9th and 11th as precautionary step. Online classes for these classes would however continue.

According to BMC, Mumbai alone recorded 8,063 Covid cases. Considering that the prevalence of the new variant Omicron is increasing in some countries of the world, including several states in India, classes 5th to 11th of all management and all mediums will be closed from 4th January to 31st January. However, online teaching will continue.
