The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) decided to postpone Agricultural Services prelims exam 2020 due to the rising number of COVID-19 cases in the state and across the country. The examination was scheduled to be conducted on May 23 and May 30, 2021. Aspirants can access the official notice at uppsc.up.nic.in.

The commission will soon announce the new exam dates after assessing the situation pertaining to the coronavirus outbreak.

“It is being notified that the prelims exam scheduled to be held on May 23 and May 30, 2021, for Vice Principal/ Assistant Director has been postponed till further notice,” the official notice read.

The UPPSC Agricultural Services exam will fulfil 564 vacancies in the Rs 44,900-1,42,400 pay scale. The prelims exam will be conducted at various centres in the state. CBSE school affiliation 2022-23, The registration date for the Central Board of Secondary Education, CBSE school affiliation 2022-23 session has been extended.

The board has issued revised dates, upgradation for fresh affiliation under the newly School Affiliation Re-Engineered Automation System, SARAS. According to CBSE, the application process for fresh affiliation will now be closed on June 30, while the second phase of the affiliation process will open from September 1 to October 31. The upgradation of affiliation process will be conducted from March 16 to June 30, and September 1 to October 31.

For the extension of affiliation, the application window will be opened from March 16 to June 30, and with additional fee post June 30. For other categories, the application will be opened throughout the year. Earlier, the last date to apply for CBSE affiliation was April 30. For further details, candidates can check the website- cbse.gov.in.

The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has announced the results for the preliminary exams for Assistant Prosecution Officer (APO). The candidates who appeared for the APO Prelims 2020 exam can now check their results by logging in to the official website of BPSC at bpsc.bih.nic.in.

The candidates who appeared for the BPSC APO Prelims exams can check their results by following some simple steps. These are as follows:

Step 1: The candidates need to login to the official website of BPSC at bpsc.bih.nic.in

Step 2: The candidates will have to click on the link that says Assistant Prosecution Officer (APO) Prelims result present on the home page

Step 3: The candidates need to check their roll numbers in the new page opened

Step 4: The candidates must download the page and take a printout of the same for future reference

The BPSC APO Prelims exam took place on February 7, 2021. The exam was conducted across the state in 7 districts and at 71 exam centres. A total number of 19201 candidates appeared for the BPSC APO Prelims exam that took place earlier this year.

CBSE, announces Class 12 exam will be held once the situation is under control

CBSE has cancelled the Class 10 Board Exam 2021 and the students will be evaluated on the basis of an ‘objective criterion’ to be decided by the board. CBSE has notified that the Class 12 Board Exam 2021 has been postponed as of now. The decision on the revised date sheet for CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021 will be taken after a thorough review of the Covid-19 situation in the country on June 1, 2021, said Education minister Ramesh Pokhriyal.

Candidates who are to appear for the CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021 must note that they will get a 15 days’ notice prior to the commencement of the CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2021. The CBSE Class 12 practical exams were started from the month of March, and they also have been stalled for stringent restrictions imposed by various states.

The examination was earlier scheduled to start from May 4, 2021, and continue till June 14, 2021.

In a bid to move towards Competency Based Education (CBE), the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has asked schools to adopt NCERT Learning Outcomes and made changes in the examination and assessment practices.

The Board has written a letter to heads of all affiliated schools recommending the new practices that are in line with the National Education Policy 2020.

“The National Education Policy 2020 has affirmed the need to move from rote to competency-based learning in order to help in developing creative and critical thinking capacities of students to meet the challenges of the 21st century,” the letter from CBSE said.

According to the new composition of year-end or Board exams for Class 9 and 10 students, 30% marks will be allocated for Competency Based Questions. These can be in form of MCQs, Case-based questions, Source-based Integrated questions or any other types. Apart from this, 20% marks will be for Objective-type questions and the remaining 50% marks for short or long answer questions as per the existing pattern.

For Class 11 and 12 students, Competency Based Questions will make up for 20% marks, 20% for Objective-type questions and the remaining 60% marks for short or long answer questions as per the existing pattern.

Looking at the rising cases of coronavirus in the country, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has earlier this month cancelled its class 10 board exams and deferred the class 12 board exams. Following the decision from the CBSE, several state boards have also postponed or cancelled their exams too.

Moreover, the ICSE class 10 board exams have also been cancelled in view of the worsening COVID-19 situation and the option for students to appear later has been withdrawn. However, the Council for The Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) had announced that class 10 students will get an option to either write the exams later or get evaluated on the basis of alternative criteria.

After postponing the CBSE Class 12 exams, Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank said that the new date sheet for CBSE class 12 board exams will be out after June 1. While saying so, the Education Minister ensured that the students will be given a notice of at least 15 days before the start of class 12 board exams 2021.

Students must note that the CBSE class 12 revised or new date sheet 2021 for Arts, Science and Commerce will be released in June, and the subject wise dates will be updated accordingly.

UPSC Principal Recruitment 2021 Notification Postponed

Union Public Service Commission has postponed the notification for the post of Principal.However, UPSC have not released any official notice yet. It is expected that the notification shall be released soon. UPSC Principal short notification was released in the employment newspaper dated 24 April to 30 April 2021. The last date for UPSC Registration was 13 May 2021. The commission has decided to postponed the recruitment process due to Covid – 19. The candidates are advised to keep a track on official website – upsc.gov.in.

A total of 363 vacancies are available in Directorate of Education, Education Department. Out of total, 208 vacancies are for Male and 155 are for Female. Candidates can check the details, once the notification is available. Eligible and interested candidates can apply online through online mode.

RT-PCR tests to be mandatory for 10, 12th Students

Amid rising coronavirus cases in the country, CBSE and several other state boards have already either cancelled or postponed respective board exams and now several school teachers are of the view that RT-PCR tests must be made mandatory for students before restarting Class 12 practical exams to curb the spread of COVID-19.

Many CBSE schools across the country had started their practical tests from April 1 but the schools were forced to put the CBSE Class 12 practical exams on hold as many states went into a strict restriction mode.

The teachers have decided to give a letter making RT-PCR tests mandatory for students to both the Nagpur Municipal Corporation and the district collectorate. The teachers noted that it is likely that both students and teachers can be asymptomatic and it could be a big health risk for all stakeholders.

Last week, the CBSE had cancelled Class 10 Board Exams 2021 and the CBSE had decided to postpone CBSE Class 12 Board Exams 2021. Several state boards have also postponed or cancelled their exams too.

A latest update claims that the process of formulating an evaluation plan for CBSE Class 10 students appears to have started and many schools across India have already shared details of their internal assessment exercises with the CBSE.

UPSC NDA/NA Exam Answer Key 2020 released

The Union Public Service Commission released the revised UPSC NDA / NA 2020 exam on April 24, 2021. Candidates can view the 2020 National Defense Academy and National Defense Academy exams (I) and (II) 2020. Naval Academy on the official UPSC website at upsc.gov.in. The answer key for the math and GAT articles has been published.

The test was conducted on September 6, 2020 for 300 marks and the result was announced on March 6, 2021. Final scores were published on March 14, 2021. The selection process includes a written exam, an SSB interview and a medical exam. Visit the official UPSC website for more information.

KVS allows teachers to conduct online classes from home

As part of a much-needed relief, the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) has allowed teachers to deliver online lessons to all students from their homes or homes rather than reporting them to the school campus. This decision was made in accordance with the government’s instructions to suspend all regular classes for students and switch to e-learning mode for students. However, if teachers have to attend schools to organize online lessons, they run the risk of being exposed to contagion. To avoid this, KVS decided to allow teachers to teach lessons online at home, with safety, health and well-being being a top priority. This announcement was made by the Sangathana on Friday April 23rd.

In addition, for those states of the country where the respective state government has not imposed any restrictions on the exposure of physical classes, the KVS has entrusted the deputy commissioner of the region and the director of the school to ensure that all COVID-Se 19 protocols and behaviors will be followed in schools. In this regard, the memorandum states, “Wherever state governments have allowed physical classes, the DC and directors of the region must ensure that the proper COVID protocol is followed. In case of suspension of classes according to the COVID protocol, KVS (HQ) must always be informed. The communication goes on to say that the safety of students, teachers, and other staff must be paramount in any decision about organizing courses in an online format.

Apart from this, the KVS has also asked all school principals and administrators to ask their teachers to hold regular online parent-teacher meetings. At these meetings, students and parents should be aware of the “academic transactions” that take place during the online course. Additionally, teachers should use the meetings to educate students and parents on COVID-19 protocols and appropriate behaviors.
